Why I selected the SOLE Performance Thin
With footwear--especially athletic/hiking/serious walking--I depend on my insole to align the foot and add the bit of arch. The SOLE Performance line really adapts to the foot better than others in my experience. I use the performance thin and put into the shoe which fits me the best. I really do not rely on the insole for cushion--a well made athletic shoes has a build in midsole and outsole that does the real shock absorbing--the padding gives a little pillow feel but in my experience does not really affect the wear and shock on the body. Combined, I believe that the zero drop of SOLE (I try to buy zero drop shoes--if you are new to zero drops get used to them slowly and also it pays to stretch and straighten the calf muscle and Achilles) and the less pillow cushion allows your feet to better appreciate the minute irregularities of each foot handing and though we may hardly perceive it the human body being as amazing as it is reacts to these to keep us upright. So thin SOLE are perfect (don't be discouraged that the thin are less suggested for athletics and hiking). The thin SOLE performance give the malleable but supportive arch and help secure the heel--the thin allow good landing feel; and in my opinion make sure you purchase a decent shoes especially for athletics that has a decent mid- and outsole. IF YOU PREFER A PILLOW FEEL (you do you by all means) the thicker insoles can take up room which can make shoes tighter (one solution is to size up and the other is to experiment with different lacing patterns). So if you like the pillow feeling of the medium of thick be prepared to size up when buying shoes or modify lacing.

Very nice insoles, my 3rd pair
Good for shoes that I want a more custom fit. Remove the insole and replace with these SOLE. Much better arch support for stability.

Support and comfort
Best insoles I've ever used. I've tried both of the insoles made by Sole. The black plastic ones that you heat to form to your foot. The are the second pair for Cork insoles I've bought. I enjoy the ease of fitment. Just cut to the old insole size insert into shoe and go. The Cork will form too your foot as you walk. Still keeping arch support. I'm a senior cook on my feet 6 to 12 hours a day, 5 days a week. I wear safety work boots for the ankle support. With the Cork insoles it gives me a more natural feel of walking without the squishy foams that bunch up, or the gels that tend to roll out from under your foot. I always order after I have my new shoes for a day or two. Then I'll think about how my shoes are fitting. A little snug order the THIN Cork. Fit a little loose order the THICK Cork. Feels like a nice fit, get the REGULAR Cork. The heel cup holds your heel firm. So no heel slide. The arch support I find forms nice to your natural arch. With in a day or two. Relieving foot pain. I will be using these insoles in all my shoes as long as I'm able to buy them. I bought my first 2 pair from the web site. These are my second pair of Cork insoles from SOLE. These are my go to for support and comfort.

Poor durability and breakages
Disappointing durability. Used it less than 10x

Great for plantar fasciitis and foot pain
After four surgeries in 5 years on my ankle, I was desperate to find something that would help even just a little bit. These were amazing, I have tried over a dozen insoles, all the way up to prescription ones and high-end shoe store custom fit. I was never really happy with them. I of course wish these were a little cheaper, considering they are cork, I understand that you have to price accordingly. Definitely just make sure you're following the instructions on baking them, and work quickly as they cool off fast. Once you've got them fit into your shoe, as long as you follow the instructions correctly, they should be super comfortable, offer great support, and very shock absorbing. It makes it tolerable for me to actually walk around during the day and they are perfectly fit so that you don't have to lose circulation on the front end. Some of the insoles are super thick and it pushes your toe box into the top of the shoe, pinching off the circulation, these are thin and all the right spots and thick where it counts. Very durable and have not had any issues after 6 months of wearing.

Best custom orthotics if the 20th century!
After working for New Balance for 7+ years and fitting hundreds of people with everything from custom orthotics and stability shoes/motion control shoes, I would choose the sole orthotics over any other! 100%. Great for any arch type. Helps relieve pain from all sorts of different foot problems including Morton neuroma & Achilles tendinitis. So if anyone needs a reasonable priced custom orthotic then this is for you 100%. And some people dont understand that when you have a great arch support sometimes you get a little discomfort from the orthotics adjusting your arch and evening your natural gate to where its supposed to be. So people need to keep that in mind. Don't forget that custom orthotics from a podiatrist can cost thsounds of dollars. So I'll let you do the math!

Excellent Insoles
For me, these are the only insoles that work. I'm on my feet in work boots working 10-12 hour shifts. I had the regular ones (black and red) for many, many years and they helped resolve my plantar fasciitis (after trying many different "squishy" insoles). Got these ones for my new boots and they are the same great quality. Other insoles are usually squishy, unsupportive and make my feet sweat. These SOLE insoles give my feet proper support and help keep my feet cool.

Reliable and Good Support
THis is slightly wider front and not very slim for front portion of the insole. Great for slightly wider feet. I have different arch height for left and right foot. Works great for both. Great heel cup support. When I use this insole replacing the runner's original, it does not feel like losing depth at the back. Certainly some shock absorbing. This is my 2nd pair of the thin performance. The wide version may not necessary fit well in shoes if the shoes is not "specifically" designed as wide.

Cork shredded after heating it
I really liked these insoles in terms of fit, they’re thin and still offer good support, but the cork on one of them shredded into pieces right after I heated it as per the instructions. I didn’t even get to wear it once. I’m not sure if I can return them since I’ve heated/moulded them. Disappointed. Update: Amazon and the manufacturer offered me a full refund, which I really appreciated. I ordered the non-cork version (also from Sole), which is 5-star.
