Hard if you read the directions. Next to no relationship. Just pull on the handle from the side opposite the handles and it folds like a tv table. **Q: how much heavier are the aluminum versions vs. steel?** A: According to what I've been reading, I have seen the aluminum ones be as much as four lbs. lighter. Believe me, 17 lbs. is really heavy to fold and lift, for me, anyway. This was too much for me. **Q: Can this be used for someone to be pushed?** A: My mother in law is probably 110lbs and that’s the feature we like the best, she can use it like a walker until she gets tired then the strap gets turned the other way and we can push her. Oddly this feature is not included in the product description. It should be as the breaks work properly and safely with rubber wheels. Also rubber wheels do not slide on wood flooring.
