Attractive Bird Feeder with better than adverage quality
Just purchased this last week and frankly it’s a nice bird feeder. Real wood, holds a lot of birdseed, fairly unique and it stands out in my yard in an attractive way. Now regarding some of the negative comments I read here before I purchased this item …yes, its non-treated wood that is nailed or stapled together, not glued. It has thin plastic windows – while attractive- are somewhat flimsily. In summary though, the construction is reasonably good and quality is better than average. Considering the price is only $17 (free shipping with Prime) I consider it good value even if I only get a year out of it. BTW the birds love it; check out the Cardinal in my pic.

Great looking
It's a great looking bird feeder. The squirrels don't seem to be raiding it as often like the one I replaced. Very happy with this so far.

GREAT STURDY BIRD HOUSE
The Perrky Pet Mountain Chapel Bird House is a great purchase. It is very sturdy, easy to fill with seed and fairly easy to clean. The roof lifts up and out of the way for easy filling with bird seed and the seed filters down into 4 openings at the bottom, and does not get clogged. It also has a little platform around the outside for the birds to perch and also helps catch discarded seed. I would definitely gift it to another birder. It is simple to use, very sturdily made out of wood, and has a warm look to it, for bird enthusiasts and for the birds.

If you want Blue Jays and Cardinals, this is the birdhouse for you!!!
This is an awesome bird house if you're looking for an actual birdhouse that attracts Cardinals and Blue Jays. It took about a week for the birds to discover it, I purchased a bird pole from Home Depot and put it in my backyard. The Cardinals came fast, it took the Blue Jays a bit of time to learn how to land on it, but now they come. ( Along with many other birds ) But my whole reason for buying this was it was big enough for the 2 birds I really wanted to attract. Now for the Cons..... After a few months the birdhouse shows wear and tear, you can stain it for a long lasting look, if this doesn't bother you, well that's awesome, because it really does work with the bigger birds. The overall construction is a bit cheap there is only a few little nails on the sides that keep the tray nailed to the base, so again this started to fall apart, a fix is to use a bigger nail and fix it yourself....because again, it really does work with the bigger birds. :) I really wanted to give it 5 stars, but my honest review has to be what the past few months have shown. This wouldn't stop me from replacing it if I need to, because it's the only one that brings Cardinals and Blue Jays in my yard. :)

JUNK Waste of MONEY
My first bid feeder. Pulled in by the charming ad photos and it does look cute in the garden. 1 yr later, it has lost all of the shingles on one side, weathered is a kind descriptive word to describe the current appearance. Birds are messy eaters. I remembered my Moms parakeet, threw seed everywhere, so do wild birds. With no way to hold back the seed, there is a large amount of seed lost to the ground underneath. I found another feeder here on amazon, made by the Amish , USA Quality, not china junk. Hex shape,Wind resistant, and made of cedar, same price as this item.

Adorable Feeder
I had so many birds on my front porch that I had to buy another feeder. I loved the cedar shingle one that I already had, so I decided to take a chance on this one, as they would pair nicely together. It's really nicely made and is holding up well in the rainy Oregon weather. This one gets less traffic than my other feeder, but I think it's what I'm putting in it, not that the birds like the other design better! I put black sunflower seeds in this one...birds are supposed to go nuts for them, but apparently not my birds. At any rate, it is a well-made feeder that is sure to last a long time and result in many happy hours of bird-watching.

Our birds love this feeder!
I just bought this so I have a spare when our current one eventually falls apart. It's made of wood, so weather will eventually take a toll on it - especially southwest Florida's harsh sun, which destroys nearly everything. We've had this feeder for more than 2 years, and my husband just glues or nails it when needed to keep it safe for the birds, and it keeps doing its job! We have 7 bird feeders in our backyard - all different brands and materials - and the birds absolutely love this one the best. Goldfinches, tufted titmice, blue jays, grackles, mourning doves, cardinals, indigo buntings, house finches, and even red-bellied woodpeckers prefer it to the others. I think it's the wood - they can really grab hold of it. The woodpeckers hang off the edge, semi-upside down. We just use an inexpensive wild bird food blend that has shelled peanuts and safflower in it, along with the usual millet, sunflowers seeds, etc. It's easy to fill and not difficult to clean - a hose and a small scrub brush or old toothbrush does the trick. I think the one we have outside will hold up for another 6-12 months - maybe longer. But now I have a spare - just in case! Buy this birdhouse - you won't be disappointed.

This feeder is really well made and super easy to fill. Just make sure to pull the windows down all the way when filling it or you are going to wind up with lots of feed spilling all over. Trial and error made me realize this. And it has very nice etched windows with a leaf pattern too. Also, unlike some feeders this has a large screw holding the base and the top together. Very sturdy! Been using mine for months now, it survived the winter and still looks good!

Love the look of this bird feeder and the birds in our yard really enjoyed it; however, I have had the feeder for under a month and it is already coming apart. After just two rainfalls, the roof pieces have all started to curl and a piece has already fallen off! It is quite heavy and sturdy so I had high hopes regarding the durability, but unfortunately the quality just isn't there. Don't waste your money! Look for something that will last...
