## Overview

The Areadivino Centellino is a premium Italian handblown glass wine aerator and decanter that uses a patented double aeration process to instantly enhance wine flavor and aroma. With a 125ml capacity, it fits most bottle openings and includes a cork for preserving unfinished wine. Designed for ease of use, quick cleaning, and elegant presentation, it transforms both affordable and fine wines into richer, more complex experiences without the wait of traditional decanters.

## Description

The Centellino is a unique top-of-the-bottle wine decanter that double aerates your wine in seconds. The first time as the wine flows down the inside of the glass bulb. At this point the sheet of wine is paper thin and can breathe in Oxygen and exhale the carbon dioxide. Then during the pour, the wine gets bubbled and mixed with air. This double aeration process both mellows the feel of the wine and also fully blooms and enriches the bouquet and flavor of every glass of wine. The old style decanters only hold one bottle of wine and take at least an hour to fully aerate. With the Centellino, you can have as many guests and serve as many bottles as you like and every serving will be aerated to perfection. The Centellino is so effective, cheaper wines taste like expensive wines and really good wines reveal all their complexities and profiles.

Review: Nice Aerator - I spent some time looking around for a nice aerator and I finally decided to try out this one despite having no reviews. When shopping for an aerator, I wanted something that would not require two hands to aerate your wine like the very popular Vinturi Essential Wine Aerator. Yes, you can buy the stand to hold the Vinturi, but that takes up more space. With that criteria, it was between the Soiree and the Metrokane Rabbit aerator. I did not choose the Soiree because the part that attaches to the wine bottle was not tapered to accommodate various sizes of wine bottle openings, as one reviewer had pointed out. With that being said, it was between the Rabbit and Centellino. I ended up choosing this design because it looked classier than the Rabbit because it was made out of glass (although it was more expensive). After placing my order, I received the aerator very quickly. I live in Hawaii, so shipping typically takes a week or more to get to me, but the people at Centellino was able to send me my aerator faster than desertcart was able to send me some of my other items that I ordered at the same time. This aerator aerates the wine in a two step process. First you pour the wine into the bulb. This is where the wine is aerated. Second, you pour the aerated wine into your glass. This could be bothersome for some because it takes about two of these bulbs to fill a normal glass of wine. It seems the bulb holds around 2-3 ounces. If this is a deal breaker, I would probably try to go for the Rabbit aerator. However, this may be a good way for some to be measure how much wine they consume (although one could always do this by how many glasses of wine they consume). As for the actual device. Pros: - It works - Tapered fitting to accommodate a range of bottle openings. (The taper isn't that dramatic, so it won't work for very large bottle openings) - Also serves to preserve your wine if you can't finish the bottle. It comes with a small cork to close the spout of the aerator. - Made of glass to look nice. - Comes in a nice box to store your aerator. Cons: - Made of glass. Will probably break if dropped or mishandled. - The small cork for the spout of my aerator is a loose fit. It fits, but it is not as snug as I would like it. However, I do not plan to leave the aerator on the bottle if I were to save the bottle of wine for the next day, so it does not bother me. - Does not allow for a continuous pour of wine into your glass as noted above. - Costs a little more than most aerators. However, it is made out of glass so that justifies some of the cost. Overall, I can say that it works great. Although I have not tried other aerators, I can say it does the job. The primary purpose of an aerator is to aerate the wine by maximizing the surface area of the wine that is exposed to the air to allow the wine to breath and this does the job.
Review: Beautifully designed and a great conversation piece - I received one of these as a gift a few years ago and I have enjoyed using it. It is a very unique aerator with a very beautiful design. When I use it to pour red wine, the conversation almost stops while everyone watches. It takes a little practice at first to coordinate the right moves to go from bottle to bulb to glass, but after a few times it will become second nature. It works great and really helps the young wines come out fuller and quicker than if you poured a glass straight from the bottle and waited an hour. The only downside is cleaning and that's not really a problem. I don't like to have spots on my wine glasses so I dry them immediately after I wash them. The same goes for the Centellino...washing is usually a rinse with running water but it's tricky to dry. I usually use a good quality paper towel (one that doesn't leave a paper fiber trail), roll it up to fit through the glass pouring tube and push it in all the way and gently rotate the bulb to let the paper towel swab the bulb. It looks fragile and elegant, but in reality it is a very sturdy piece that will hold up to repeated uses and washings. Of course, you can't be rough while handling it, but you don't have to worry about it breaking in your hands. Great product. If you like wine, this is a very easy way to aerate while serving the wine table side without having to use two hands and deal with the drips of the handheld aerators. You can even store the unfinished wine in the bottle by leaving the Centellino in the bottle and replacing the nicely designed cork on the pouring end. I purchased this one as a gift for another wine lover. I recommend this product both as a gift and for personal use.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Ounces**
A: 3.38 ounces

**Q: The wood around the stopper that gets inserted into the wine bottle on my decanter broke rending it useless. Who do I get a replacement?**
A: I had a similar problem, however , I could not find a source for the "cap". I made one myself.
If you can't do that, the wood "Cap" is only decorative and not a critical part of the device -- so don't worry. You say that it did make the unit "useless"; has there been a failure of the "rubber" stopper portion of the device too? A stopper that will work on the device can be found at most wine-making or beer-making supply stores.

**Q: The stopper is too small for many wine bottles. Is there any fix so I can use this on all of my wine?**
A: I don't think so. It fits my wine bottles fine.

**Q: How many ml or ounces does each pour contain exactly? Thank you!**
A: 100 ml = 3.38 ounces pour
