They work perfect! I conected together the red wires from the lights with the red wire from the trailer connector (note: red wire for reversing). Then, I connected together the black wire from the lights to the white wire from the trailer connector (note: white wire for ground). When I am reversing the lights turn on. Also, if I open the doors the lights will turn on too. I got 2 more under my truck facing the running boards. They are connected to the same wires. Once, I open any door, the lights will turn on. I love them. Exactly what I was looking for. **Q: Will this fit a 2007 ford explorer eddie bauer edition factory stock hitch? if not is there easy work around?** A: I don't know what kind of hitch the Explorer comes with. But my Chevrolet Colorado Hitch has a collar around the end facing the rear. I went to the front end of my receiver and there wasn't a collar there and the mounting bracket slid right on and I tightened it down and it works just fine.
