Love this pad, works great on my recliner and sofa, keeps my kitties from tearing up my furniture! They think they have to claw on everything and they love this! Works great! Highly recommend! Very sturdy with good straps to keep it in place too. Wish it was a little more adjustable.

Two weeks after rescuing an abandoned kitten we learned the bad news. Our new kitten was about to have more kittens. Now a family of seven cats, cat furnishings have come, gotten temporary use, and been ignored. Not this one. Bought a year ago, it gets used every day. At first, when the kits were babies, it was a climbing wall. They were up and down it every day. Now older, with real potentially destructive claws, it holds their attention while protecting the people furnishings. We endorse this product - 28 paws up! Now a year and a half in, still keeps their attention, without a single scratch on the chair that holds it. Still a great product.

Decent scratcher for cats but don’t expect it to protect your couch. At best, it’s a distraction. If your cat prefers to scratch the arms of the sofa, then you’ll likely find this useful, but material wears down over time (which is to be expected for any scratcher). Works best if you have a plastic sofa protector under it. This is my second time purchasing this. First one lasted ~2 years with 3 cats. Fits nicely on sofas with thick armrests. Does have a strong odor fresh out of the box but airs out fairly quickly. Pictured is the old one and the new one after replacement.

I purchased a left and right for each side of my couch for full coverage 12/2023. Almost 3 years later and they’re still holding up good. Will need to replace the two most used by end of year, but definitely a great investment for your money. The cats can scratch low or high with no damage to the couch! The strings are easy to remove, and the Velcro could be stronger. The auto vacuum snags the strings a lot as well as the cats.

This is a great product for the armrest and corner areas of a couch which is where my cats primarily enjoy clawing. The design is simple and intuitive enough for anyone to figure out even without instructions. Thick and seems sturdy enough for my medium size indoor cats. My only gripe is that it's so small. Yes I realize there are dimensions and measurements provided. But if you look at my images attached there are other spots on this ad (at least before they edit it) that make it confusing and make this appear bigger than it actually is. And even one area where completely different measurements are mentioned saying it is 55 by 23 and will cover a large area. The scratch pad is not 55" it is 23". the length of the entire device is 55" including the non scratch pad parts. so this phrasing can be misinterpreted and misleading.

This actually working very well. Looks nice and not out of place. Was worried it would take away from my couch, but it works perfectly. Definitely worth the money.

We have three cats and boy do they like destroying our couches and fabric chairs. We were pretty much at the end of our rope and had just accepted we'd never have nice furniture when we located this little beauty. It's been great. Instead of constantly trying to stop our cats from approaching our furniture in a futile attempt to stop the problem at the source, we're finally working with the problem by putting this protection on the target of their scratching. This is a win-win, as our couch is safe, while our cats still get to claw to their heart's content. Logistically, it was very easy to install, and visually it matches well with the furniture we have. Two minutes of installation and everyone is happy. I highly recommend this product, and will probably be investing in more as time goes on.

I was nervous that this wouldn't stay put on my couch, but surprisingly it does! I do occasionally have to adjust it a bit since I sit on that end of the couch, and it starts to droop a little, but once you really tuck in the flaps in between the cushion and the couch frame, my cat can scratch it and it won't move!

Unfortunately this item did not work to make my cat scratch this instead of the couch. It just made him scratch other furniture and the couch elsewhere. I purchased 2 but neither works.
