Happy with purchase. Things to note: I programmed only one key to the car but both keys work. Same transponder chip in both?? There is no dot on the key as shown in the picture and on my factory key But it still programmed to car fine.

Decently made good price works perfectly with my 2008 tundra but needs a programmer to work IF you have that or take to a locksmith it works good most big box stores with the computer key cutters won't cut and program this key though. those machines are set to program only there brand of key. if you find a little hardware store with the older machine or the old vice cutter and someone who knows what there doing you can get it cut just fine and program it yourself.

Didn’t want to get ripped off by the shop to get duplicate security keys for my car. Got the right security key blanks and you can self program these keys in your own Toyota - depending on the model the method may differ. Saved myself $60 per key!

We had two transponder keys cut for our 2005 Toyota Sequoia at a local locksmith for $10 total. This is the procedure we used to program our keys on 12-31-2024. There are lots of suggestions on the way to do it, and this is what worked for us. Delete Keys: When we began, we deleted all keys except for the one used for the deletion procedure. One of our keys got lost in a school parking lot so we wanted to delete it from the vehicle. It is said that the vehicle memory can store 4 Master keys and 2 Valet keys. We now have 4 programmed Master keys and 0 Valet keys. 1) Close all doors 2) Insert your Master key (black) into the key cylinder 3) Turn the ignition from LOCK to ON 6 times within 15 seconds - on the 6th time, leave the key in the LOCK position 4) Open and close the driver's door 7 times within 20 seconds 5) Remove the Master key 6) Open then Close the driver's door to end the process Add Keys: 1) Close all doors 2) Insert your Master key (black) into the key cylinder 3) Turn the ignition from LOCK to ON 5 times within 15 seconds - on the 5th time, leave the key in the LOCK position (Others have suggested leaving it in ON but that did not work for us.) 4) Open and close the driver's door 6 times within 20 seconds 5) Remove the Master key 6) Insert the new blank key and turn to ON position 7) Leave in ON position for at least 60 seconds (Our Immobilizer light did not blink during registration mode, nor did it turn on or give us any indication when a key registered. We left each key in for 120 seconds and all keys worked.) 8) After 60+ seconds, remove the key 9) Open then Close the driver's door to end the process 10) Test the key to make sure it works. One of our keys hesitated to start the vehicle and it did not start. We started the vehicle with the Master key and then again with the new key and it has worked multiple times since then.
