The use of stainless steel instead of brass allows for the great strength to weight ratio. An interesting size break in the lineup, with both 120 lb and 130 lb available. The 120 is noticeably smaller, which can be a good or bad thing. I think the Spro website lists the wire loop diameter as 1/16" on the 120, but it's actually about 1/8" OD, which is still small enough to pass through most rod guides if you need it to. The 130 wire loop is about 3/16" in diameter, which may be better if you need your swivel to act as a stopper for a weight, tube slider, etc. Review: As advertised, they are Strong! - size #8 50lb power swivel did not disappoint! i decided to test them as i got my package. i put two sizes of snap swivels on either end of the spro swivel and attached the swivels to 150lb mono and tried to pull them apart! Understand that I am a commercial fisherman and the size of Spro swivels I purchase has nothing to do with its strength. The strength of these swivels are so great that,unless you are going blue water fishing, it is really academic. I purchase the size of a swivel that suits my purpose. For example, if I was to use 30 pound test mono line, I would not purchase any size smaller than a #4 (130 pound test) since the stainless steel eye is so fine it would create a weak spot in the mono line where it wraps around the eye. These swivels which come in packs of fifty which is usually more cost effective than purchasing smaller numbers in a pack. While not a ball bearing swivel, they turn so smoothly and are so compact, that I would never go back to using any other swivel. **Q: How do they hold up for sailing? Where do you use them? How have the held up?** A: They are for fishing, you use them in the water to catch fish.
