The first difference is that IMP2 has 1 channel and Prod2 has 2 channels. So, the IMP2 will receive 1 unbalanced signal in a TRS jack and sens 1 balanced in a XRS jack while the prod2 will do 2 of this.The other thing you need to compare is the attenuation level that between them. This DI might look like the Behringer there's no way it's the same components inside. **Q: I need to extract the stereo mini jack output of my ipad to separate mono l and r to the sound mixer; is this a good match?** A: You can use two of these with RCA to 1/4" adapters, or you can use a PCDI. They make a PCDI with the mini jack cable attached as well. **Q: I have a 1/4 ts "line out" mic set that needs to go to a usb device 1/4 ts mono "mic input". connect directly causes huge buzz. will this device help?** A: That buzz is most likely caused by the fact that it’s a usb device, converting the analogue signal to a digital signal. I don’t think this will help.
