Do not expect the same performance as metal water bottles. It's plastic and does not have the same thermodynamic properties. These bottles will keep your drink cold for 3-4 hours maximum in a hot climate. The best way to achieve this performance it to fill the bottle a quarter full with water and freeze it the night before your ride. Then before you set off fill it with your cold drink. Your drink will be cold for 95% of your rides. If you are going out all day then no plastic bottle will keep the water cold for this amount of time. Finally the water spout system is perfect. You open the lock before you ride, and close the lock when you finish. The lock system is not designed to be opened and closed every time you drink. Lose one star because as a premium bottle I feel the build quality could be a little better (it is still very good). I only give 5 stars for perfect products.

I now have 4 of these (in various colours). These Podium Ice are the best I have found for retaining internal liquid temperatures. I use them for long distance road cycling, gran fondo's and the odd road race. They hold a good amount of liquid and even when left in the 'open' drinking position they typically do not spill. They will splash a bit if in the 'open' drinking position and you are riding on a road bit of road, however typical smooth asphalt riding they seal great. What I personally do is only have the bottle that I am currently drinking from in the open position and the remainder in the closed position, then when one bottle is empty I swap it for a full one and also swap the bottle holder positioning for ease of access with the new full one. I do not like cold liquid when I am pushing hard, however what I love most about these is they keep the liquid essentially at the temperature I put it in at. I find most water bottles will heat up in the summer sun after several hours riding and then I am drinking an almost hot liquid mid day. These are perfect at countering that issue. Yes, I recommend these bottles, and if you can, get different colours that way you know what bottle has what flavour inside while riding.

Con il caldo estremo, l'isolamento fatica a trattenere il fresco dell'acqua ma di più non si poteva fare. La uso quando non fa caldissimo o sto poco fuori. Tutta la giornata NO.

Sportflasche / Fahrradflasche mit Drehverschluss. Ziehe ich einem Verschluss zum Ziehen / Drücken vor. Dazu muss aber der Flaschenhalter optimal stramm sein damit die Flasche sich nicht mitdreht.
