The Republic of Tea British Breakfast Black Tea, 50 Count

Firstly, I must tell you I would not drink Lipton period. I prefer strong tea with depth of flavour. The stuff commonly on grocery store shelves ( not just Lipton) is just awful, no matter what their Claims are. This brand of tea is consistently full of flavour and worth the money.

A very rich, full-bodied BLACK TEA delight, full of flavor and great for waking you up any morning! We absolutely LOVE the Republic of Tea line... So it's no surprise this one is as fine as so many others. This will fit in well among our hundreds of flavors of tea. -- And no, we're not a restaurant; we are just a small family with a real penchant for having every imaginable flavor of tea available whenever a guest is over. Goes something like this: - "Would you like some tea?" - "Sure, what flavors or kinds do you have?" - "Well, probably just about anything you can imagine. What flavor would most PLEASE you right now?" And we almost always have exactly what they requested... from any kind of black, green, white, herbal, or special blends like ginger, chais and ginseng. So now... we have yet another flavor: BRITISH BREAKFAST! Serving it up to one guest almost always results in someone else smelling that LOVELY aroma and saying, "Would you mind if I, too, had a cup of that!?" It's THAT GOOD! And of course, the full line of REPUBLIC OF TEA teas have those wonderful feeling cans, filled with those lovely little round pillows of flavorful delight and aromatic deliciousness. Ok, I'll quit before someone accuses me of being a shill for the company or something... I'm not... I'm just a HUGE FAN of how well-made the TEAS (and the PACKAGING are!!) The burst of flavor and energy opening the cap; the satisfying feeling of certainty when you place the cap back on and feel it seal so well, knowing that tea will remain FRESH. I love everything about these teas.

I gurst had this tea in England visiting my granddaughter and her husband. The English know how to make great tea. Was happy to find on Amazon

Great tea, but you probably know that, as you can find their cans at a natural or upscale grocer near you... For black tea, I have a cup of their British Breakfast every morning, with a splash of soy milk. Enough caffeine to jump start your day, but at < 1/2 of the caffeine you'd get from a cup of coffee (per The Republic of Tea site). I find their version better than competitors. Only Tazo Awake British Breakfast comes close, but I prefer The Republic of Tea's tea bag format, as well as their flavor, more. For green, I love their Big Green Hojicha full leaf, as well as the Moroccan Mint. This review is more about their 250-pack format. The 250-pack is fantastic way to bulk purchase their tea, and can save you about 20% on your cost if you drink it daily. It comes in a re-sealable no-frills "envelope" of sorts. It looks a bit like a brown paper bag, but it's an ideal for keeping the tea dry and dark. I kept a 50-count can that I had previously, and when it empties, I refill it from the bulk pack. Best of both worlds - nice can to keep on the counter or cupboard to pull from, and the slightly cheaper bulk pack to refill from when needed.

Tea aroma and taste is wonderful. Disappointed that tin is not screen printed, just paper wrapped.

Love this product! Best in the market. Can't deny the quality. My husband who is half British thoroughly enjoys it. Only drawback is that it is not organic.

I always assumed a quality tea would taste a little better than the standard grocery store brands but I did not realize how huge the difference was! Just the smell tells you how much better it is. No bitterness at all. I will never drink the big mass market brands again.
