A large hose clamp?** A: The body is attached to a mount with three holes so you can screw it into your dash or your A pillar using the provided hardware. You’re also gonna need to drill a hole for your four wires (positive, neutral, ground, input) which I found to be a bit short so either get some wires to give you more flexibility or place your gauge accordingly. **Q: Will this work for a 5 cylinder engine?** A: Unfortunately no. Only for 4/6/8 cylinders **Q: Is this tach water proof?** A: It’s not a sealed unit. I don’t believe it’s waterproof. **Q: is the tach compatible with a 6A msd ignition box ?** A: Yes it is, but I would highly recommend upgrading to a sportsman series at least if you can afford to do so. These tachs have been problematic for me in the past ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Auto Meter *by A***R on June 10, 2026* Inexpensive works great ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Auto Meter Tachometer *by D***I on October 3, 2026* Works great and looks awesome in my car. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Looks good, works well *by L***M on January 28, 2020* Put this in my 2003 Toyota Echo, which didn’t even have the option of a tacho as an add on. It looks good. I’ve never wired anything in even the loosest terms but I read around and figured it out, no wire cutting, no solder. It works great! I wish the face could pivot a bit higher but I can always put some spacers in between the mount and the dash. Be careful in larger vehicles however, the wires may not reach as far as you’d like if you don’t want to! ## Frequently Bought Together - AUTO METER 2303 Autogage White Face Tachometer,3.750 in. - AUTO METER 2327 Autogage Mechanical Oil/Volt/Water Gauge with Black Console, 2.3125 in. - Auto Meter 3224 Copper Tubing --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.fr/products/3069544-2303-autogage-white-face-tachometer-3-750-in](https://www.desertcart.fr/products/3069544-2303-autogage-white-face-tachometer-3-750-in) --- *Product available on Desertcart France* *Store origin: FR* *Last updated: 2026-11-08*
