Great Board! Met all my expectations.
Haven't been on a skateboard since I was a kid. I love snowboarding but live is warmer climate. Decided to give longboarding a try and after some research, decided on this board for its price point, length, look, and reviews. It has performed great on the trail around the park. Gets lots of complements. I even had a 50 year old man begging to hop on it and try it out. It rides smooth, goes right over rocks & cracks that may present problems for smaller boards with smaller wheels. Had to adjust the kingpin in the trucks to suit my body weight. Also had to tighten the mounting screws after my first long ride. This board is great for beginers and should be fine up to intermediate level. I recommend it!

Great board ootb, Even better with upgrades!
I recently took up skateboarding again after about a 26 year break. This board rides really well and made it a lot of fun to get back into skating. The board is sturdy too. I was about 225 lbs when I started using this board, and it supported me no problem. It also looks great. I decided to make it even better by putting in some Bones Big Balls bearings, Bones bushings and a set of Cal 7, 97mm wheels. Now it rides like a dream!

Purple Veneer board is invincible!
While reading this review, remember the rating I have given it. First things first: The wheels, bushings, and bearings on the default board are garbage. The board came with the trucks pretty loose, so after three turns, the bushings were already sunk into and needed to be replaced. And after owning it for three weeks, I grew tired of pushing way more than my companions, so I replaced the wheels and the bearings. I suppose if you like small wheels, they're not awful, but bearings are a little more cut and dry. They're either good or bad, and these default ones were bad. Also, the screws that connect the trucks to the board itself came super loose. Now here's the part where I tell you why I gave it 4 stars instead of 1. Mainly: The board is beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice, it's a great sheen and color. On top of that, the grip tape is extremely high quality. Durability: 6 days of owning the board I was hit and the board got run over by two wheels (the vehicle was a mid-size sedan), and not a crack on it. And after it got run over, it survived being thrown through the driver's window and the trucks didn't bend when they made contact with the driver's temple. And about two weeks later, it was run over again on accident by a friend who wasn't paying attention, and is still in perfect shape. Overall, this board itself is an amazing board. However, most of the accessories that come with it are disappointing. If you're looking for a starter board that you'll keep forever, this is your board. If you're looking for a board to get in the mail and go on a two hour cruise, you're looking in the wrong place.

Pretty darn cheap
Man, what a board! Pretty darn cheap, but you'll get some quality cruising out of it. Just order some Bones Reds and a skate tool with it and you'll be good to go. It's got a little flex to it, decent enough grip tape, standard 40 degree trucks and decent wheels. Fantastic low-budget beginner-medium board for getting around campus quickly or just cruising around for a study break. This was my first board and out of all the beginner boards on the market that I've seen my friends get, this one really rises above in terms of quality, both of materials and performance. I'm gonna be keeping this board for a good, long while. You can decide on wheels and trucks according to your situation, but this board will provide a phenomenal experience for getting into the sport.

Great first longboard
I bought this board about 10 years ago and I still ride the same one to this day. I'm taller and heavier and I find that it supports me and rides incredibly well. After 10 years and countless hours of riding, it only shows minor wear and tear. The only thing I have replaced are the bearings, which I recommend you do upon buying the board anyway. I'd recommend this board to anyone who wants a reliable ride and a versatile board that can help you master the basics!

Great board that lasts, beginners welcome
I've had this product for a little under a year now before I decided to write a review on it. This was my first longboad and it was definitely a great decision. Pros: There is no chance of wheel bite with this type of board, the length gives me a nice feeling of balance and sturdiness. Board is on the stiff side but that can be a good thing for beginners who hold stability over most things. It's more for downhill than tricks but I use it just to cruise around wherever I am, the style is pretty versatile. The biggest thing I noticed when I first started riding it was that it holds it's speed very very well compared to some cheaper longboards I have ridden which is a really nice perk when having to go uphill. The size of the wheels, as with most longboards, handles cracks well as long as you're going fast enough. I did loosen the trucks a little bit after I was more comfortable so I could carve with a little more ease (they were a bit tight to begin with) but it's pretty good out of the box, as is. Cons: You definitely feel the ground from these wheels which is a downside for a person who likes a very smooth ride but I personally like feeling the bumps and gravel, it's just something to get used to. Like I said before, trucks can be tight but that's an easy fix with a skate tool that you should have regardless just in case. Board doesn't flex too much (again another personal preference). When you're buying a longboard, especially for beginners who are just getting into skateboarding in general, the cost really can say a lot about the quality. If you're planning on making this a real hobby and want to stick with it, Atom boards are a good place to start that both won't break your wallet and won't break a week after you take it out of the box.
