For kobolds In the service of King Torg (ALL HAIL KING TORG!) their life will undoubtedly be silly, brutal, and short. They may be crushed by cows falling from the sky. They may be obliterated by meteorites, betrayed by friends, or brained by frying pans. They may cheerily march to their death upon the beaks of chickens or from the tentacles of eldritch magicks. If they are really lucky, they may survive long enough to bring back a tasty treat to the Kobold Caves and avoid becoming lunch themselves. The classic game of Beer and Pretzels Roleplaying returns in this definitive, full colour edition. This book includes everything you need to play except some dice, some friends, and a wicked sense of humour. Review: Loved the black and white hardback - All Hail King Torg! Loved the black and white hardback, and with new John Kovalic art this is a must have. Don't take the game seriously and you will have a blast. What other RPG uses an engine called B.E.E.R. after all? Review: Five Stars - Just what I wanted. Now I can keep up with the GM during our RPG sessions!

and a great deal of snacks in honor of king torg
Highly comedic and light-hearted. Get a few friends together, a stack of character sheets, and a great deal of snacks in honor of king torg, ALL HAIL KING TORG!, and you'll probably have a fantastic night.

All Hail King Torg!
As far as parody games go, this is a must. It's a parody of gamers playing a parody of Dungeons & Dragons, full of self depreciating humor and mind-spinning humor. Despite a clunky rules system, the laugh inspiring comedy and outrageous content of this game can not be understated. Hopefully the creators go full-boar on a "board" game someday This game remade in the style of A betrayal at the House on the Hill, or Last Night on Earth would compete with the big-boys. Some pre-painted figures, a color board and descriptive cards would be awesome!

Great book! I bought it a while back when it first came out. I intended to use it for one shots when regular d&d sessions fizzled due to attendance. I just haven't had an opportunity to run it yet sadly because the learning curve for a new game is always difficult with short sessions and single books. If there was a players handout that just covered what the players need to know (stats/abilities/items) then that would make life much easier.

OVERALL GRADE: B.
A parody on fantasy gaming in which you play one of the weakest monster groups and try to survive amidst the many ways you can be horribly killed. The smarter you play the more you are likely to die as kobolds should be reckless and think they are unstoppable. Every time you do something dangerous you get a check to your character sheet which increases the chances you will die from some random yet amusing result. People playing this rarely start and end with the same character. This seems great for one evening but I'm not sure how it would work in a longer run.
