L-Theanine Powder 250g – L Theanine Supplement, Scoop Included, Pure, Non-GMO, Vegan, Gluten-Free

Item arrived quickly and in good condition. The powder comes in a sturdy zip foil pouch, but I like to keep my supplement powders in glass containers so I transferred the powder into a 8oz glass jar. The product comes with a small plastic scoop. The powder is white and has a fine fluffy consistency. There is no distinct taste or smell. The powder dissolves easily in warm/hot water which is how take it every evening before bed. I take 100mg to 200mg l-theanine along with 3mg melatonin, 450mg magnesium glycinate , and 50 mg zinc glycinate before bed and I sleep like the dead. Sometimes I will also use 100mg to 200mg with my morning coffee or caffeine in order to smooth out the jitters from the caffeine. Love that this product has no fillers and comes with a large number of servings for a really good price. I will definitely buy again.

A 10 stars plus 10 more . I take this in a pill . Which works but omg in water it hits the body pretty quick with calmness. I have bad anxiety and hate waiting for a pill to hit my body . There is no taste which is ok with me no smell . Has a little scooper to tell you how many mg. Works amazing for me .

This seems like a very good quality supplement. It has absolutely no smell and very little taste. You can of course taste it a little, as it is a glutamate-derived amino acid. It has a slightly umami taste like MSG, but much less strong and with more earthiness. It dissolves very quickly in water. I typically put it in green tea or dissolve it in a glass of water (in 8 oz, you can't taste it at all). I take 200-400 mg a couple times a day. I lost the scoop pretty much immediately, but I would recommend volumetric dosing anyway: just dissolve a known amount into a known about of water, and take a shot or add it to your drinks. As for whether it works: I dunno. I haven't figured out whether L-theanine is a placebo for me or not, because the effects are subtle, but it does seem to calm me down, or at least make me think I can calm myself down. It works exactly as well as suntheanine capsules have worked for me in the past. I appreciate that this company lab tests (their HPLC results looked good), everything put together it seems very pure and legit.

Theanine helps me considerably with anxiety control helps me sleep better etc. my only grieves is the scoop in this I assumed it was 200mg but my scale says 500mg 😬 above 600 is emotionally numbing. But with the proper dose this is quite effective and mixes well with anything it’s placed in to. Cost effective and hits.

Edit: only a month later (29 Aug) price has again hiked, now to nearly £46. Abysmal. Was great, I bought this product regularly, until they upped the price from £30 to £42 in a matter of months. There’s no justification for this IMO. Since have bought elsewhere for a better price and am happy. The only upside of this product is that the bag it comes in is absolutely fantastic, long lasting.. reseals months later like new. But £12 for a better bag just isn’t worth it.

I have always bought 'Supplemented' Theanine and it helped be through a very rough few years in my life. Not finding 'Supplemented' trading on Amazon anymore, I bought these and they tasted like rice flour and when I wake at night and can't get back to sleep, 'Supplemented' Theanine always got me asleep about 20 minutes later - NOT THESE. Three times this has happened lately and I have not found that sleep after taking these. I found 'Supplemented' trading on their own online so bought some from them and now I get to sleep 20 minutes after I take them.
