Works great but it's a hassle (with my tips)
I was able to make great coffee with these, but underestimated the hassle factor. First, here's how I made the coffee, to save others time maybe. I had my coffee shop grind my beans (in this case, a dark, full-bodied Italian roast) to a 5, like the directions from RECAP say. (This is a pretty fine grind but not espresso grind. My plan was to see what this looked like so I could replicate it at home with my own grinder in the future.) I loaded the capsules with two quite heaping scoops of the grind - I didn't try it, but it probably would have been around 3 level scoops. I then tamped it down pretty well using the bottom of the scoop, so the capsule was about 85% - 90% full, again, per the RECAP directions. I have a manual Dolce Gusto, and the right amount of water for our tastes using this setup was 125ml. The taste of this yielded a really excellent cup of coffee with some crema. Some reviews mentioned it can be hard to pop the capsules out after you've made the coffee. I found this to be the case sometimes, but also found that if I slid the little Dolce Gusto tray out, and raised the lid of the capsule while it's still in the tray and dumped out the grounds, the capsule came out easily. The capsules seem to be well constructed, although I echo the sentiments of some reviewers that the tab on the top doesn't seem like it's built for the longest term. However, I don't think the capsules are intended to last forever, and at three for ten bucks or so, I think it's fine. Now for the hassle part. There are two coffee-drinkers in our house, and we each like a large cup of coffee in the morning, so that means each of us need a minimum of two, but realistically three capsules for a full cup. One of the main reasons I bought the Dolce Gusto is to avoid fiddling with stuff in the morning. This is so much fiddling with stuff. I want to be the guy who does this but I know in my heart I'm not. I also haven't done the math to figure out how much I'm actually saving given the cost of quality coffee to ensure the RECAP caps make really good coffee. So your call. If you're not going to be beaten by the fiddliness of it, IMO the RECAPs are really good.

Works Well
I am very happy to have found these! My husband and I have an Esperta2 machine. I've been happy with the prefilled pods that are available, but my husband prefers his whole bean coffee. This allows him the convenience of using the Esperta with his own coffee. These work well in our machine. You do have to make sure you line up the little hole correctly when you insert it into the machine. The directions explain how fine or coarse the coffee needs to be for using it. It comes with a spoon and brush. We used to have a Tassimo machine and there were not any reusuable pods that worked with it, so I am pleased that we found these. I'm excited to be able to use some nice flavored coffee beans. I love that these cut down on trash, too! **Update 5/21/2017 - I am still using these and still like them. However, I did want to add something to my review. They don't come out of the pod holder very easily. I usually have to turn the holder upside down and tap it slightly to get it to come out. When doing that, that sometimes dislodges the little filter screen. I didn't realize that it had come out one time and I threw it in the trash with the coffee grounds. Now that I know that can happen, I make sure that it's still there. And if it has come dislodged, I make sure to find it before I throw out the grounds. It's easy to put back in - it just snaps in place. I didn't realize it was even missing until I made coffee the next time with that pod and my coffee was full of grounds! Just wanted to share that.

So so
These took a while to figure out. They cannot make a “normal” cup of coffee in a dolce gusto and are really only food for espresso. I might have missed that in the product description but it was not anywhere in the item instructions. The espresso they make are pretty good but I was really hoping for just a normal cup of coffee with these.

so you actually waste a lot of your powder because the lid cant ...
Edit:10/6/2017 It has been a couple of weeks since I learned that you really need to pay a bit of care to the lid closing. Make sure there is no coffee powder in the borders and the lid is fully closed, applying lots of pressure ( or jsut enough) to make sure the thig is tighly closed . The lid does not open. It actually works well. It kinda works. The pressure the machine applies is greater than the capsule lid, therefore the water inside the capsule pop off the lid. This means no more coffee and mostly brownish water coming out of the macine, while hot water pours from the capsule's now slitghly opened lid. You get coffee, but until certain point, so you actually waste a lot of your powder because the lid cant handle the pressure...really, this dont work as supposed. Still using it, with two scoops I get something of 1/5 of a coffe cup filled. Less than a month of purchsing I am already looking for an alternative, a more solid one.

These Reusable Pods, with the Right Kind of Fine Ground Italian Coffee, Work Excellent!
Works with Dulce Gusto fine ground Italian coffee just perfectly; leaves a froth on the top EVERY TIME! Well worth every penny! Easy to Load, Clean, and so far Sturdy - still using only my first pod - other two are new and in the box if one breaks. Only load 75-80% full for best results!

Awful
Really poor product. It’s hard to determine where to place it so the needle comes down in the correct position. And they’re definitely not reusable. The latch does not work after the first use. If they weren’t a $10 product I would be returning them. I can’t imagine why someone would grade them higher than 1 star

Sturdy & dependable WFH companions
I am reviewing only the mechanical/constructional aspect of this product. Don't let the fragile, plasticky look lead yourself to believe that these capsules will not last daily usage. I have been using a set of three on every weekend for a year or so. Followed by twice everyday of the week through the last three months of WorkFromHome. Little short of miracle how that flimsy hinge or that almost invisible silicone gasket survived so many pulls, tugs and dishwasher cycles! Eventually one of the capsule's hinge broke today, lasting way past my expectations. Ordered a new set today as I speculate a prolonged daily usage due to continued WFH. Sigh! Note: Did I occasionally forget which way the hole goes and puncture the lid by forcibly pressing the plunger ? You bet I did! Nevertheless, the punctured capsules continued to work just the same ...

Good Quality and fits perfectly
Good quality capsules. My only comment would be if they can add directions on where the hole should be positioned.
