How do you clean it, and do you let it tarnish?

I use mine several times/week, so my copper bowls don't even GET too tarnished 😉. Copper mixing bowls have a property similar to say, using ones Sterling Flatware in that the more often its used/handled, (& washed out with simple soap & water & immediately dried), skin oils & such keep the metal LESS tarnish susceptible. There's that ..... However, there are MANY copper/metal cleaners available to bring ur copper back to dazzling sheen, depends on ur usage really? And whether or not it goes long periods btwn use? For cleaners, I prefer a quick swipe w/a sponge using Liquid BarKeepers Friend, then I just use dish soap on a sponge to wipe it down, hot water rinse & immediate dry. Copper items I DON'T frequently use & display I use Wrights Copper Cleaning Creme (works just as well as the Mauviel Brand & other Copper creme/polishes) , hotbwater rinse and immediately dry. The difference btwn metal cleaning cleansers like BarKeepers (and try to use only liquid cleansers to prevent scratches) and Wrights (or other) Creme is creams have a "polish" effect once the copper is dried, just "buff" w/another clean dry cloth and the metal will come to a mirror like shine and be more resistant to fingerprints and tarnish/patina Altho its OFTEN recommended to clean copper with various mixtures using salt + vinegar, &/or w/baking soda, &/or lemon, or even just plain ketchup .... yes, these things WILL clean tarnish/patina on copper easily, they're not as effective on grease or baked/cooked on/long standing "gunk". PLUS, most long time copper collectors discourage frequent use of cleaning items containing citrus, ketchup, salt/vinegar because THEY DO actually act on the metal's porosity and over time, actually "sloughs off" teeny tiny layers of the metal itself w/every use. Again, yes, CAN use such cleaners - yet use w/caution or discretion if frequently cleaning via those methods. Lastly, at least once/twice a year, I give ALL my copper a GOOD METAL POLISH using a bar of copper metal specific wax which is like jewelers cleaner/wax, and a nice HI powered buffing wheel using a stationary grinder (which is a year round project at my house & we take the time to do about an hour/week of polishing as many pieces as possible jn about an hour - as I've over 1000 pieces of copper cookware, bakeware, display items, etc. Easier to just take an hour a week & polish everything on a rotational basis, where that REALLY CUTS DOWN on tarnish/patina buildup & retains their shiny pink gold appearance on displays, lol)

Can I whip heavy cream in this copper bowl?

Definitely. Coper is the best for making whipping cream, soufflé, fluffy scrambled eggs, and etc. My wife loves the copper bowl I bought for her almost as much as me.
