An excellent and concise intro to the EKG.
I'm a second year medical student and I found this book to be utterly fantastic. Everyone has been told to go out and buy the nearly ubiquitous book by Dubin. In my opinion, this book is vastly superior to Dubin's text. It manages to cover all of the basics of a full 12 lead EKG while explaining each additional piece of data in a step-wise and logical fashion. At no point did I feel like I was being pushed to memorize, but by the time I had finished reading the text (which you can do in one sitting) I felt a true understanding of what I was seeing in the EKG tracings. This book was recommended to me by a faculty member at my university who trained in the British system so I'm assuming it may have a larger audience outside of the U.S. So in summary, I think this book out performs Dubin's EKG text. Others may disagree as everyone has their own style of learning.

medical school to fellowship
Loved this book in medical school and I bought it again during my critical care fellowship. Very easy to read, you can literally sit down and read the entire thing in one day. It emphasizes the basics but explains why the ECG is the way it is so you remember. Great text for all levels

Great ECG book.
ECGs interpretation is one of the most daunting challenges of the earlier years of medical school and a good book is nessecary to get you through it. This book explains concepts clearly and has lots of relevant examples to test yourself. Great buy,.
