Stens Mo-Deck Spray 11 OZ AEROSOL CAN, Green

As another post says, I consider this essential for my cordless mower (Makita XGT). I read up and based on suggestions, initially tried 2 coats of Cerakote. However, after 2 initial mows, it was clear that grass still stuck but was easily removed with a plastic putty knife. There was a thin layer of gunk which came off easily with water. After cleaning again and applying a thorough coat of Mo-Deck and letting dry for 20 minutes, the next mow was superb. No mat of grass at all and barely any residue...definitely a bump up. As a bonus, what normally takes 1 full 8hr battery down to 1 bars and into the next battery, left me 2 bars on the first, didn't touch the 2nd. I'd estimate at least 25-50% reduction in battery usage. The mulch left was finer too.

A revelation to me is that you can't expose cordless mowers to water. All the major brands state this in their user manuals. I thought I was going to end up spending 20 minutes cleaning my cordless mower where I could clean my gas mower in 1 minute with a spray hose. Needless to say I started to explore options and ran into this product. I did some reading and watched Youtube videos on this and competeing products and ended up trying this. As you can see from the photos of 1st coat, 2nd coat and 3rd coat that there is still buildup on the mower deck after use. The last photo (with the brush) shows the deck after using just the dry brush in the picture to wipe away the debris. It was almost perfectly clean. It became progressively easy to clean the deck after each application with the 3rd application producing the results shown. If that continues it's good enough for me. Having to wipe the deck with a damp cloth is either eliminated or greatly reduced, saving me a lot of time. Looking forward to continued success. Will update if anything changes.

Does not work as well as I hoped. First I used ceramic car wax on my brand new mower deck. It worked pretty well but not as well as I hoped. I completely cleaned the deck and tried Mo-deck. I let it cure for several days and coated it again. Again I let it cure several more days prior to mowing. When I did mow, the grass was not very long and very dry. The deck really wasn't any cleaner than when I used the ceramic wax. Won't purchase again.

I live in the Great Northwast and the grass is green all winter long and must be mowed. I was always having to stop and clean the clippings from under the deck of my mower. It was a pain. I did a search and found this item. I was skeptical that it would work, but it DOES WORK. It kept the under side of the deck almost spotless! I will use this product every time I mow from now on. I highly reccomend this product.

I had high hopes but it did not work for me. I applied to a clean mower deck on a Honda 21 inch self-propelled push mower but it didn't prevent wet grass from sticking. So I cleaned the deck again and applied a second coat because it is stated that that the more coats that are applied the more effective it will be. The results on the second cutting with drier grass a week later were worse than the first cut with even more grass sticking to the deck. I used the entire can on the two coats. Not worth the money and I won't buy again.
