He's always got it dark for playing video games and this clock looks great in there. Love the "dim at dark" feature. At 10pm, the brightness on the clock cuts in half. Easier on the eyes, great way to signal "bed time soon, please" for kid. Can set whatever time you want for that. Just read the directions and expect them to be a little tricky.
