This arrived in perfect condition in its own brand box. This is a good educational toy that can grow with your child. It is easy to put together and to put away and the box is quite sturdy so should last and provide good storage. This is quite sturdy and looks like it's made to last so you should get a good few years use out of this as you can increase the difficulty and and different ways to use it, starting off with "which is heaviest" between 2 things, and then trying to find numerous things the same weight, there really is no end to how this can be used. I have grandchildren aged between 1 and 7 and it's suitable for all of them, they all find different ways fo use them, and they choose to get them out to play with, and from an adult's point of view the earlier you introduce educational toys the better and seeing their face light up when they solve a problem is a lovely sight. My first impressions of these scales are very high and I don't envisage any issues arising in the future but if they do I will return and amend this review accordingly.

It’s actually quite hard to find balance scales these days but I wanted some for my youngest - these were a big hit but you do have to buy the weights separately. Bit pricey for what they are but still a really useful resource.

Perfect for kids aged 3+ . This is an easy set of scales to assemble taking just a small amount of time. It doesn’t come with any coloured blocks to play weighing with but kids will find themselves weighing everything in sight once they get the hang of it. It comes nicely presented in a box and would make a great gift for that hard to buy for child.

Perhaps this is aimed at classrooms, or educational practices but the kit is a little lacklustre. The little cubes in the picture are not included which is a little misleading and the kit is overall not very good quality at this price point. The equality operator is also a slider, and does not move with the balancing arm -it makes more sense for this to change as the balance is tipped one way or the other? Not very fun.

This is a good set of bucket scales, ideal for nursery class or play room. The pans nestle one inside the other for storage, and their bucket design holds a good quantity of items for weighing and balancing. The pans are clear which helps to introduce ideas of quantity, and the scale displays greater than, less than and equal symbols. These are perfect for introducing pre-maths concepts and the children in the nursery playroom where I work have really enjoyed balancing and exploring these. The sturdy design makes them ideal for younger children - I work in a 2s room - and the buckets are perfect for filling and carrying. The scales come apart easily for storage, but I will be keeping this in our loose parts area to encourage maths exploration. A good sturdy set that doesn't over balance, I am very happy with this item.

This nestable pan balance toy is a great practical toy, it will help you and your kids to learn and practice on weight scale, they wil learn from different kinds of material with different weight and learn to recognise and compare on materials and it can also be a combine toy with play doh.

These balance scales are of a reasonably good quality, and made from high quality plastic. They are great fun for teaching all ages of children; as a visual aid, they can show how different things weigh compared to each other, and it helps with maths in a fun and hands-on way. They are obviously not going to be totally accurate, but will give an approximate measurement to help with learning weights and maths. They are easy to assemble and take apart. Great for parent and child to play with together and would also make a lovely gift but note that the box warns they are for children 3 years old and above.

Tout d’abord, bonne surprise : elle se monter en moins d’une minute, sans notice... c’est un jeu d’enfant ! Deuxième bonne surprise : elles est tout aussi facile à démonter. Si donc vous souhaitez la transporter, sachez que vous pourrez ranger tous les éléments dans la boite en carton fournie comme emballage une fois qu’elle sera démontée. De plus, elle est très légère. Une fois assemblée, elle est stable et les plateaux tiennent parfaitement. Bien sûr, manipulée par des enfants, ils peuvent tomber, mais ils sont très faciles à raccrocher. Tous les éléments sont en plastique, et il n’y en a aucun très petit qui pourrait représenter un danger pour les plus jeunes. Comme vous pouvez voir sur la photo 1, c’est vraiment une balance destinée aux plus jeunes, car elle leu permet aussi d’apprendre les signes de comparaison (< et >). Vous l’aurez compris, cette balance n’a de jouet que l’aspect : elle permet d’apprendre de façon ludique à comparer des poids et des masses. J’ajoute que les plateaux sont parfaitement à l’équilibre à vide et qu’elle est assez précise, car il suffit de peu pour la faire légèrement pencher d’un côté ou de l’autre. En conclusion, je la trouve vraiment très pratique et parfaitement adaptée à tous es enfants, dès 3 ans, comme indiqué sur la boite. Je la conseille autant aux parents qu’aux enseignants !

Erstaunlich gut! Ich nutze es mit meinen Tageskindern und den eigenen (Alter zwischen 2 und 6 Jahre) zum vergleichenden Wiegen: Gleich viele Würfel/Glassteinchen/Murmeln abzählen. Das Auto wiegt 5 Glassteinchen. Die Spieltorte wiegt 2 Glassteine. Auch Addition funktioniert: Auto und Torte wiegen zusammen 7 Glassteine. Es passt ziemlich gut ohne großartig justieren zu müssen, was bei den Kindern ohnehin für die Katz wäre. Deshalb eine absolute Empfehlung für dieses wichtige Werkzeug in der frühen mathematischen Bildung.

My 5th graders loved this balance when we were learning the measurements unit. it's light to carry and actually works. The concept was grasped and standard mastered.
