I picked up this 5-piece straight router bit set and have been really impressed with the quality for the cost. Having the 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", and 3/4" sizes all in one kit covers most of my everyday routing needs without having to buy bits individually. The carbide tips stay sharp and cut cleanly through hardwood and plywood with minimal tearout. The 1/4" shank fits my router perfectly and runs smoothly without any wobble. My only minor gripe is that they don't come in a storage case, so I had to find my own way to organize them. Overall, excellent value — would definitely recommend to hobbyists and DIYers looking to build out their bit collection without breaking the bank.

They're ok, but...... Not sure if all of the bits are actually 1/4". Some of them fit my Metabo FM 500 well, but others get stuck in the collet & are a PITA to remove. Maybe its just a quality issue? Apart from that, it is a good budget set for a total routing newbie like me!

The bits work very well and are a good range. Fit my palm router very well and cut very well. The box is nice but cheaply made. Good to see that's where they cut the corners and not on the bits though. I found the inserts were all loose and had to be glued back in. Generally the whole box needing a little attention to make sure it lasted. I didn't mind this but that's why I gave it four stars.

Lets be honest, these won't last forever, they are too cheap for that but they will get you buy for quick use. Don't trust the bearings though, all of mine failed after 3 to 4 uses. One did not work from the start. (too tight to turn) After several months of use I felt I needed to add something to this. Despite the very fragile bearings the bits themselves cut exceptionally well, I didn't realise how well until I upgraded to a set 5 times more expensive (Bosch £141.00) The Bosch bits were bouncing a bit and kept leaving burn marks. It was the exact same kit bit wise as these. These were much better at cutting but the bearings let them down so I had to use the edge guide.
