**Q: how are these functional? They only cover a small portion of the entire filter.**
A: Not sure why they're functional, but I can say that after I put the new ones in, which I had not done before, the units both immediately cooled much better.  The color on the old ones had really faded, so they must perform some kind of function to the unit.

A: Hello, the correct filters for this model are E02  915  100 CATECHIN AIR FILTER (LEFT), E02 916 100 CATECHIN AIR FILTER (RIGHT), MAC-415FT-E AIR CLEANING FILTER.

**Q: Is this filter compatible with Msz-hm12na?**
A: These filters do fit the MSZ-HM 12 NA indoor unit.  That unit also uses 2 screen filters with the part # U01 A02 100.
The MAC 408 FTE filters are compatible with this series in the 09, 12, 15, 18 & 24 sizes.
