Works perfectly

I use this unit to switch between two sources of 120 volts AC in our RV -- shore power and an inverter. It is well built and handles the current fine. The wiring diagram and directions were confusing at best and made it difficult to wire the unit correctly. With some research online I was able to get the job done.

I use this in a RV trailer to switch between 30 amp shore power and a 2000 watt inverter. The RV has a split 120 volt bus bar. With this switch I was able to wire it so when I have it selected to the inverter there is no power going to the converter or air conditioner. I have a Hughes Watchdog wired into the 30 amp supply. When connecting to shore power I keep the switch in the off position until I check the 30 amp power quality then change the switch position. The switch is less complicated and cheaper than an auto transfer switch. Works very well.

This switch is heavy duty yet works smoothly. It can handle 60 amps.

We use this for shore/ship power change over switching to 30A per leg. They work fine...but... I have purchased a total of 3, because one came with one dead leg. The big brand switches are superior in feel and sound of the action, but some with the same rating cost as much as 4 times more. Considering in our application these switches may be cycled <30 times a year, usually under no load. So saving $100 on this switch for me was a value.

Considering the amount of amps this switch is advertised to handle I was a little nervous as to how well made this switch would be. After unboxing and installing it is apparent this switch is up to the task.
