Good Housekeeping Accurate Rating
I have enjoyed using the Krups for the last month. For an juice-extractor at $150, I am happy with it. I have experimented with several recipes using all sorts of fruits and vegetables. As per the product info, strawberries don't do well in the machine and so I am heeding their word on it. As much fun as it would be get the top of the line Huron, that is drastically out of my price range. The Krups has turned out to be a good purchase. I use it 3-5 times a week. It does take about 10-15 minutes to wash and rinse everything out but the benefits of juicing are worth the extra work. I don't bother with the dishwasher and wash everything immediately after using it. I saw a complaint about carrot juice staining the plastic but I have had no problem because of rinsing it out right away. I wasn't sure about the juicing thing and I didn't want to spend $300-$400 and give it up after 2 weeks. The Krups has been a great product because of the price and capabilities. I am willing to spend the money on good quality items and I got lucky with this product. It is a good product if you are thinking about getting into juicing.

Waste of time and money; a real disappointment.
Piece of junk. Used twice with regular fruits on low and the motor stopped working. Krups warranty/guarantee (what they have anyhow) disclaims any type of future liability. Their customer service was not at all useful. Complete waste of time and money. I'm going to go buy a better quality juicer unit.. the other option is to go with some type of bullet product. The small, blender-like products would be more versatile, easier to clean, and cheaper than a high quality juicer. The choice is yours, but this thing was a real disappointment

ENTIRELY SATISFIED; HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I LOVE THIS JUICER. HAVE HAD IT SEVERAL WEEKS. USED IT OFTEN. LITTLE BATCHES, BIG BATCHES. IT IS VERY STURDY. WELL MADE PARTS. FULLY METAL JUICING BLADE/STRAINER. STRONG MOTOR. EASY CLEAN UP. I PUT PLASTIC BAG INTO REAR CONTAINER TO CATCH VEGGIES AS THEY SHRED & MAKE CLEAN UP EASY. I QUICKLY RINSE OFF PARTS AND WIPE DRY MACHINE & CLEAN UP IS DONE. ALSO, CONTAINER THAT JUICE DROPS INTO HAS A LID WHICH KEEPS JUICE FROM DRIPPLING ONTO COUNTER WHEN JUICING. ALSO, WEIGHT AND SHAPE OF MACHINE KEEP IT WELL GROUNDED/STABLE WHEN JUICING SOME HEAVY/HARD VEGETABLES & MACHINE HAS TO WORK HARD. I FIND THE MESSY CLEAN UP I HAVE TO DO IS RELATED TO PUTTING ALL UNUSED VEGGIES BACK IN FRIG AS I USE ABOUT 10 + VEGETABLES. THE MACHINE ITSELF IS NOT A PROBLEM TO CLEAN UP. I'VE GOT USING & CLEANING THE MACHINE "DOWN TO A QUICK SYSTEM" AND FIND THE MACHINE A SOLID PERFORMER. I ALSO LIKE ITS AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF IF IT IS LEFT ON TOO LONG. I LOOK FORWARD TO MANY YEARS OF USE. I RESEARCHED MANY JUICERS BEFORE I SELECTED THIS ONE. ALSO, TO MAKE JUICING HARD CARROTS (& APPLES) EASIER, I QUICKLY CHOP THEM INTO SMALLER PIECES AND JUST TOSS THEM INTO THE MACHINE.

I was pleasantly surprised.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this juicer. i have used this product for a week now, making a quart of juice daily. The juicer is sturdy, with little vibration, handles all kinds of produce without difficulty. Cleanup takes about 15 minutes, about the same as my previous juicer. I would definitely recommend.

great juice quality and two speed motor
The pros: great juice quality and two speed motor. The cons: Carrots get stuck each and every time, cleaning is very time consuming especially the juice collection container, the blade/screen unit is difficult to remove, and if the counter surface is wet it will move around while in use. I am disappointed with this juicer and would not purchase this again nor recommend it to others.

great juicer
One of the best investments I ever did ! It's my first juicer and I feel like I've been missing out all these years on a whole world of delightful foods that I never knew existed. I use it daily with various fruits, mostly citrus. So far I did apples, grapes, grapefruits, oranges, tangerines, mangos. All are delicious, incomparable with the prepackaged/bottled juices you can buy in the grocery store. Even if it says "100% orange juice" on those labels I can tell you that the fresh juice you make with this machine is very different. There are two speeds, Lo/Hi. It depends on the fruit but I almost always use Lo, the only time when I switched temporarily to Hi was for some apples. All parts come off easily for cleaning. The stainless steel filter basket is maybe a bit more difficult to clean, but not too bad. Why Krups ? I have other Krups appliances (such as electric tea kettles) which never gave me any problems, so I'm partial to this brand at the moment. I strongly recommend a juicer, and this brand in particular.

the smell of something heating up.
i know carrots and beets are dense vegetables, so i but them pretty small and didn't throw a lot in at a time. i found i had to push down on the(plunger?) pretty hard to get the blades to cut them up. also i could smell something burning as if the motor was being over worked. everything else is fine. good catch cup. regular amount of cleaning necessary. not to huge on the counter taking up too much room. but the motor just isn't as strong as i had expected based on the description provided.
