This kit worked with my 5.9" diameter exhaust hose perfectly. There are four extendable plates, so this should fit even a wide window. What I like is that you can configure two, three, or four plates together to fit your window. If it's too large with all four plates together, as the instructions will have you do, you can simply remove one of the plates which are labeled B. This way it can never be too small, or too large, to fit properly. I think the quality is very good overall at this price point. I don't think you need anything fancier than this. It sits flush in the window. The insulating tape is very sticky. The only thing is that the hose connector which clips into the window panel, does not give the tightest seal. But this has been the case with every panel I've used, including the ones that came with the unit in the first place, which also use those horrible clips. Apparently this is just the "industry standard". Other than that overall it fits well, was not a pain to assemble, and is pretty good quality.

This product worked great. I was originally hesitant to purchase this product after reading all the reviews but I decided to try my luck anyways and with great surprise it worked perfectly! This product was easy to assemble and instal. It’s very sturdy and was compatible with my DeLonghi portable air conditioner (shown in photo). Be sure to measure the diameter of your exhaust tube, and back of ac where exhaust tube connects before purchasing either kits (5” or 5.9”). I’m not sure why others needed tape to attach their exhaust tube into the window insert, if you gently thread it into the window insert it should attach and stay connected with no problems.

We needed this to use our inside a/c unit as it wasn't made for windows & we were sweating in the summer. It fit the window & the unit perfectly. Easy to install & use.

I have a portable AC unit that has 5.1" exhaust hose. I also have it wrapped with "reflective duct wrap" sealed with aluminum duct tape. With the added circumference it adds around an inch to the total size. So I used the snap-in hose vent. As you can see I use al. duct tape to seal all sides of the window. But nothing used on the hose itself because it fits securely & I don't see any reason for too. The price was great compared to the other listed here(at $10 less than most at the time). I wonder why I didn't try this earlier! I also plan to get the 6" foil encased vent hose as well to keep the heat out of the house. I currently have it wrapped up in reflective duct wrap. But I want to reduce heat more! For those who might have heat venting from the hose at the AC unit I'd try putting a terry-clothe towel closest possible to the hose & machine area. This can keep the vibration noises down as well.

This window kit is better than what came with our HiSense portable air conditioner unit. This version has screws to hold the height adjustment. It's always tricky getting a hose to attach to the window mounts, but that's to be expected. Overall great quality and fit.

The plate for this AC vent is thick plastic. It has strong screws to hold it firmly at whatever size you need. Unfortunately, the coupler for the hose is not so rugged. It is supposed to be universal, but after trying for an hour I could not get it on the delonghi hose. I think this would have been perfect otherwise. Sorry, I have to return this

I bought this for our bedroom window and it connects great to our air conditioner. We did have to use a bit stronger tape than what came in the package, other than that it works great.

The attachment is not snug to the panel which feels a little flimsy. It does the job but we'll see how durable it is over time.

For Basement Window to hook up PC exhaust fan to help cooler down the PC room. Fits the window very well works very well. Cut to fit slips right in works with hose.
