After I purchased the drum shield, I contacted the seller and told him I wanted the shield ASAP and he shipped it as soon as the payment got through! I received the product Saturday (I would have received it Friday but I was not home)! The shield was sent in great shape. Everything was there and ready to be assembled. If you read the comments from everyone in this section, you can see they are complaining about assembling the plexiglass to the hinges. They are right, it is a pain in the A, you WILL need two people, but once they are on, they are ON! Overall, the product is great, the seller is also very good at communication. Would 100% buy again. It was a little difficult to put together by myself but follow the online video. I was able to do this with a soft mallet hammer. It is a little heavy. I am using this just in my band room, not taking it out for shows. Works great to help with the noise, during practice times.

Sturdy enough as they haven't fallen over yet. My biggest issue with them is that they just look small (short) and cheap. If you have a small church that wants to give the impression you don't waste money, this is the one to buy. If you are in a rock band (well, I guess you don't get these for rock bands anyway) but if you want a nice appearance, you are going to have to spend the big bucks for a big boy set. They are okay and reflect sound - and that's what they are supposed to do. Don't think you are going to impress your friends and family, but at least they will hear you! I mean, it does the job. It's not as noise cancelling as 1000 dollar drum shields, of course, but if you're having a band practice with the guys and your drums are screaming every time this is worth the investment. It makes the drums sound punchier in most rooms because the reverb is contained to a smaller space.

It’s a great purchase

Anyone who does live sound for smaller shows or venues knows that the drums dictates the overall minimum volume. Being able to tame it, even a bit helps a lot. The price for this shield is very reasonable. The living hinges installed well if you follow the youtube tutorials out there. I was able to make it fold like an accordian for travel by installing the hinges facing opposite on each side of a sheet. The deflectors have fixed metal hinges that don't fold and grip by plastic friction piece so if you use these, you would have to install onsite and take off for travel but I don't think that should take much time. Had some missing parts and they were very responsive and immediately sent out what I needed. Overall pretty happy. Nothing is as quiet nor as easy to control as an electronic set but they don't feel the same as an acoustic set. I paired this with a portable absorber panel for behind the drummer.

Very happy with this product. Hinges are very sturdy and the panels stay connected very strong. I would say that it would be very difficult to disassemble. 2 people are required to assist install. Panels are very heavy, which is a plus. The noise reduction is really good in my small room and while playing, I could hear myself much more clearly.

The Drum Shield DS4 L 5 that I ordered met my expectations in general; however, the plastic hinges (by design) were very difficult to install as I had read from other reviews prior to ordering mine. It required three people to install the hinges onto the Plexiglas pieces and I broke one of these hinges attempting to get it hammered on. The good news is that once they are finally seated in place, they seem to be sturdy and they seem to do their job. I intend to keep my shield in place without moving it much so I do not expect the hinges to fail anytime soon. If you are planning on taking the shield up and down on a regular basis then I would suggest having more of the plastic hinges on hand as they will probably break over time if continually working them. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase.....
