All that sad; I made sure I did all kinds of ...
Ok, first a little background to give you an idea of who is reviewing this thing... What kind of consumer am I? I'm a techy-savvy thirty-something who researches his purchases to death, and had never mounted a TV before. I just got a new 55" LED TV and was TERRIFIED to get the wrong size mount, or a cheaply-made product, or mess anything up with the purchase and risk my new toy smashing to the floor in front of my fireplace. Not only that, but I only just purchased my home a few months ago and didn't want to completely destroy the wall over the mantle. All that sad; I made sure I did all kinds of research before settling on this product. Ok, on to the useful stuff... PROS: - Very easy to install - Good range of stud coverage for lag bolt holes - Seems to be a good sturdy mount and solid construction (safely supporting my 55" Sharp AQUOS) - Very easy to adjust TV angle and position after installation - Excellent low profile result (I was still able to setup Christmas decorations on the mantle with the TV in place!) - Excellent price - Free HDMI cable is always nice (even if not high end) CONS: - Lag bolts could be made of stronger material. If you have any trouble screwing them into the studs it can get hairy wondering if they'll break. I pre-drilled holes and everything, but wanted to be sure the bolts got a good bite into the wood for support, so there was still plenty of torque required and I was able to get them in without breaking one. However - it was tedious. Stronger bolts would've saved me some time and stress. NOTES: - *** BE SURE TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS AND ONLY HAND-TIGHTEN THE BOLTS AND SCREWS!! *** Using an electric screwdriver or a drill on a low torque setting will almost definitely destroy the hardware, so only use a hand socket-driver and screwdriver. I am very pleased with this product, and will definitely be recommending it to friends and family who may need a mount. I hope this was helpful and everyone has a similar experience!

Sturdy, Secure, and Easy to Install!
I needed a reliable wall mount for my new 75" TV, and after reading numerous reviews, I decided to go with the VideoSecu Tilt TV Wall Mount Bracket. I'm so glad I did! This mount is fantastic. First and foremost, the build quality is impressive. It's incredibly sturdy and feels very secure. I had no worries whatsoever about hanging my large TV on it. The included hardware is also high-quality, and I appreciated the variety of screws and spacers provided to accommodate different TV models. Installation was surprisingly easy. The instructions were clear and straightforward, and the included bubble level was a nice touch. I was able to mount the bracket to the wall and attach the TV by myself, although having a second person would have made it even faster. The tilt feature is perfect for reducing glare and improving viewing angles. It's smooth and easy to adjust, and it stays securely in place once set. I was also impressed with the low profile of the mount. It keeps my TV close to the wall, creating a clean and sleek look. For the price, this VideoSecu mount is an absolute steal. It's a well-built, reliable, and easy-to-install mount that provides excellent value. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sturdy and secure TV wall mount. Five stars!

Consistently the Best Choice for TV Mounts
This is my 10th purchase from VideoSecu, and they continue to impress. The Wall Mount Bracket is versatile, supporting a wide range of TV sizes and VESA patterns, ensuring compatibility with nearly any TV. The inclusion of a magnetic stud finder and HDMI cable is a thoughtful touch, simplifying the installation process. However, I would highly recommended using a sensor stud finder for install as it has never failed me. What truly sets this mount apart is its reliable construction. It feels incredibly sturdy, giving me peace of mind that my TV is securely attached to the wall. The hardware kit is comprehensive, accommodating various installation scenarios without the need to run to the hardware store. Considering its quality, versatility, and the added extras, the price point is unbeatable. VideoSecu remains my go-to brand for reliable TV mounting solutions.

Good bracket for the money with one exception... the included level.
I purchased this mounting bracket to hang a 54" Samsung LED TV on my living room wall. The bracket arrived in a box that was so small I questioned whether it was the correct item. Upon opening the box and reading the instructions I discovered that the wall mount is shipped in 2 pieces that have to be assembled as well as the two vertical brackets that attach to the rear of the TV also have to be assembled from 2 parts. This process was easy and once assembled the wall bracket and TV mounting brackets feel well made and solid. The process of mounting the wall plate was the most difficult part as I wanted to make sure I hit vertical 2x4 studs to support the TV. I had already cut a small hole in the wall to run cables back into a closet, so I was able to measure from that hole laterally to find the 1st stud. By using an electronic stud finder and ruler I was able to locate the 2nd stud. My house is a 1950s era home, so I have a plaster coating over some type of very hard, thick drywall so I used a mortar bit to begin drilling. Once I hit wood, I switched to a standard bit in the size recommended in the instructions. I used an adjustable wrench to cinch down the lag bolts holding the wall bracket to the wall without any incident. I'd read other reviews about people using too much force on the bolts and actually snapping the head off. I did not have that problem, but I was extremely careful when I was cinching them down. I will note that I used the level that was included with the bracket and that is the only reason the bracket doesn't get 5 stars. The included level was inaccurate and left me with a bracket that was maybe 1/8 of an inch off of level. I corrected this problem later in the process by sliding a thin shim between the wall mount and the bracket on the back of the TV, but I wish I had used a different level to make my drill marks. With the wall bracket mounted to the wall and the vertical brackets attached to the back to the TV, I got some help lifting the TV up and hooking it onto the wall mount. The process (with the exception of the inaccurate level) was fairly easy straight forward. The bracket allows the TV to be tilted easily and holds the angle of tilt well. It allows some lateral movement once attached (before you cinch down the locking screws) in case you need to fine-tune the horizontal placement of the TV. I'd recommend this bracket to mount your TV, but as I said earlier I'd use my own level or buy a better quality level to use for this installation. A TV that is slightly off level will be very obvious and visible.

Great mount, great price, easy install!
Just tonight, my husband and I installed our 8 year old Samsung TV with this mount. After using a TV stand for all this time, we decided to upgrade to a wall mount for purposes of baby proofing. The instructions were clear and it was easy to install. It comes with a lot of hardware, which is intimidating at first, until you realize that most of it is a variety of screws to fit a variety of TV's. We have not used the included HDMI cable, but it looks like a fine item. We also elected to not use the included level based on other reviews claiming it was not very accurate. We used our own level instead. It seems very sturdy and secure and I would recommend it to anyone. There's no reason that a collection of metal and hardware like this should cost $100. This kit is affordable and it works great. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. Be sure you have a drill, a phillips head screw driver and an adjustable wrench on hand. The included wrench really isn't adequate for screwing the bolts into the stud, use a nice long one to get the leverage needed to seat them in there well. Update: It's been 2.5 years since this initial review. Our baby is now a preschooler and the TV is still secured to the wall without incident.

Great Deal for a Great Mount!
Pros: -Price: you won't find a better stand at a price anywhere near this! -Quality: It's a very sturdy stand, and seems to be very well bit. -Included HDMI cable: It even comes with an HDMI Cable! This is great, everyone can use an extra cable to have around! Cons: -Included "tools" are junk, I'd make sure you have a socket set available (with a 13mm socket and extension), it will make your life much easier! -Includes mollies (drywall anchors)... why!?! I would NEVER mount this directly in drywall, make sure you've got it mounted to studs. The directions even say to make sure it's mounted in studs! I'd hate to see someone hang something as expensive as a flat screen TV and have it drop to the floor (or worse, hurt someone!). Notes: -The instructions state that you should assemble the two halves of the wall-plate together and then mark/drill/mount, I can imagine the reasoning behind this is to insure level/even holes. I was installing this by myself so I made a template out of cardboard (actually... it was from the box it came in), marked my holes, drilled, mounted, THEN I assembled the halves. This can make life WAY easier. -As stated above, have a socket set handy, as well as a drill, of course. -Make sure you tighten the tilt adjustments before trying to hang, or when you go to hang the TV it will move on you making it even more difficult. Final thoughts: I'm giving this 5 stars, the cons are pretty light, especially compared to the pros. I honestly couldn't be happier. I have this paired with a 2-gang power/low-voltage recessed box (similar to this: http://ASIN.cc/3jX7AL) for a very clean installation. Remember if you're going to run power up the wall make sure you do your research (or have it professionally installed), aside from being a code violation it can mean fires/electrocution. I used UL certified in-wall 3 strand (hot/return/ground) wire and secured it to a stud.

Excellent Wall Mount
This product is an excellent wall mount despite the price-point. In fact I was a bit confused when I got on Amazon a few days ago and saw all of these wall mounts for $100+ and then this thing. Now I'm even more confused. I don't know what you could get for an extra hundred bucks that this thing doesn't have. It's made of solid steel with an accurate embedded level. It comes with another level to confirm all measurements. Moreover the package includes every seeming possibility of screw for various television mounts. In fact when I first opened the box and saw all the different packets of screws I momentarily freaked out, thinking oh man what have I gotten myself into, what's with all of these screws. But then realized that they give you all of the additional screws to make sure you have the right one for your particular set. I put up a 37" Philips HD TV on my wall in an apartment. The longest part of the install was finding the studs and making the measurement to ensure my set would be positioned correctly, about 48" off of the ground at center, and straight. But once I made all the marks, the actual assembly of the mount and installation of the hardware too me about 30minutes, using just a drill and a channel lock (didn't have my socket set handy, but it would help as the mount is secured to the wall with four hefty lag bolts). After the back of the mount was on the wall, I hung on it to make sure it was solid. I'm about 200 lbs, I put my fingers over the top lip and hung down with most of my weight. The thing didn't budge. I then put the brackets on the TV, took about 2min for that, and then popped the TV onto the wall. The TV looks awesome. Can't see the mount at all, not from the sides or the bottom. So easy to mount and super solid. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.
