Not what they used to be
My husband and I grew up on Sweet Sue chicken and dumplings and these are not them. These have no taste and the texture is off too.

Not any good any more. The corporate types have ruined it.
This is NOT the product it used to be. It used to be a treat to eat with pieces of chicken, uniform and tasty dumplings and wonderful gravy. The gravy is still good but the chicken is tiny, little cubes of what appears to have been boiled until it has lost all flavor and texture, the dumplings were formerly uniform in size and thickness but now are whatever size, thickness or lump that falls out of the extruder. The taste? Not what it was - not by a long shot. I'm truly saddened by this.

Product has gotten worse over the years
This recipe has changed over the years and the chicken is no longer pulled-style chicken as it used to be - it appears to be flattened and diced chicken product an all of the flavor has been boiled out of it. Honestly, the dumplings are as I remembered, but the broth is now flavorless, thin, and not representative of any sort of "down home cooking." A big disappointment that made me want to just make my own chicken and dumplings and give these cans to my local homeless shelter. My apologies to the homeless, but at least there's some sort of nutrition.
