It is a well researched, well written and beautifully presented book and strikes the perfect balance between information and inspiration - prepared to look at the gritty undesirable aspects of the beauty industry as well as offering practicable steps and guidance to make meaningful change. The recipes are simple and straight forward with a fresh twist. There are also tips, tricks and hacks which make this book even more immersive. It goes without saying that we need to be more conscious about what and how we consume. This is an excellent book if you are interested in sustainable beauty and what to look out for when you are thinking of buying a beauty product. I really like the fact that the author has included some ideas on how to repurpose packaging, especially bits that cannot be recycled.Now for my favourite part of the book - the beauty recipes. There are a variety of recipes, from face mask to lip balm. For most, you need to buy specific ingredients, but the oat face mask was really easy, requiring only 2 ingredients and my skin felt very soft afterwards. I didn't quite agree with the vodka hand sanitiser as there is no way of confirming that the alcohol content is adequately high to kill most bacteria and viruses.
