Are these refurbed by an Apple-certified tech—someone who’s earned a license? And if so, and this is probably a long shot, can i add AppleCare?

Well, I can't add Apple Care because the coverage expired. I didn't have any trouble with the MacBook Air until now but I preferred to buy it from Apple directly to get Apple Care. One more thing check the seller before buying, some of them have bad ratings, be Amazon sellers aren't bulletproof (mistakes or bad products).
