Review: Don't waste your money on this book - This book is a collection of excerpts from various scientific journals. The problem is the synthesis "recipes" are ANCIENT. Most of them are dated from the 1960's or 1970's, however some go back to the 1940's, and I noted one from the 1920's!! All of the syntheses require a professional lab with dozens of precursor chemicals that are currently DEA Controlled Chemicals. For example, trying to buy Indole, Ergotamine, and dozens of other chemicals is akin to sending the DEA an invitation to visit you. If you are really interested in more recent methods buy Shulgin's books PIHKAL and TIHKAL. If you're especially interested in plant derived compounds, get PHARMACOTHEON by Jonathan Ott. Highly recommended.
