I love this hard so much! It has such a nice design and it appears to be high quality to me. It's very easy to tune and the strings sound beautiful to me. I enjoy playing on it and learning new songs so I think its very fun to play and priced very well. I also think its very nice of them to include extra strings and the tuner.

My daughter loves this lyre and the pattern on it. It’s a good size for a smaller child and has a decent sound. I like that the string letters and numbers are listed at the top as it makes learning songs easier. We have had fun learning some simple Christmas songs. The one thing I wish was different is the tuning. I spent a good 45 minutes getting it within tune for the next day most strings to be flat again. I know new strings take a bit of time to hold tune and hope that it’ll hold better after some time. The tuning is also super sensitive.

As hoped for the lyre came with the strings about a third lower in pitch so no stress on the instrument during shipping. I started tuning the next day and it took only about 10 minutes. I played it a bit and it needed only a few strings retuned. The instrument is extremely well made, has a bit of weight to it which I like and has a very full warm sound. I had planned on this as an introduction instrument but I believe I am going to use this one for many years. Comes with excellent quality case, extra set of strings, tuning wrench, cleaning cloth, pick, and a booklet.

Pros: This harp looks and sounds beautiful! It has a beautiful tone that is surprisingly loud and full for such a small harp. I love the pretty rose and butterfly design. The strings are well spaced for easy playing. These things overall make it very enjoyable to sit down and play. Cons: After first tuning the harp I noticed that several of the strings would not stay in tune. I would tighten the peg back into tune, and it would loosen itself again due to the tension from its steel string. So I would have to loosen the peg completely, take the string out of the peg, tighten the peg down more (than it was originally), re-set the string into the peg, and tune it up again. But there were a couple strings that continued to be problematic in this way, and required one or two more re-tightening sessions like this before the pegs would finally hold their string tension and stay in tune. Once I did this, however, the harp had no further issues and stayed in tune. It currently stays in tune for a day or more, which is typical. There were no issues with strings breaking. One thing, when you first tune up the harp, do it slowly and in stages. This allows the strings to stretch and minimizes the risk of strings breaking. Also, steel-string lyre harps are very sensitive to changes in tuning. A slight movement of the tuning tool can take a string from too flat to too sharp, and visa versa. Be patient when tuning. Some minor issues with the low F3 string: It is not readily accessible for being played by the left hand (I find reaching around with my thumb works the best). And it sounds a bit like it doesn’t have quite enough tension when I strike it, suggesting that it needs to be a bit thicker gauge and/or longer. A slightly thicker-gauge string would work better, but these are minor things and it is playable. The case is nicely shaped to fit the harp and has a nice pocket for the accessories, which included a carrying strap, tuning tool, manual, an extra set of strings, and a couple of picks and cleaning cloth. The tuning tool works well. Overall I love this beautiful harp, once I worked out the tuning peg issues. I’m familiar with harps and know music, so I didn’t really need to use the manual. The manual does offer 11 song melodies that use the numbering system (there is a correlation chart on page 10), and I was surprised to see melodies like, “My Heart Will Go On,” although the songs look like they have been pasted from different sources, and have different fonts and sizes. The English is probably translated from Chinese and is not correct in many places. These manuals are always kind of minimal, so I would recommend YouTube etc. for learning how to play.

I have 5 of these harps, all tuned in different keys. Since the wood is soft, I threaded all the tuning pins in quite a bit. They should put a bridge on the left side. They shouldn't carve the notes in to the wood. Makes it look cheap, and toy like. The case should be a little bigger. But the strings are better than they used to be. Without a bridge on the left side, the notes, especially the low notes sound like you are plucking a rubber band. Technically it is a resonance harp. Kind of a mini zither, or a mini guzheng. Yatka? Just put a bridge on the left side, and I will be contented. Remember, the longer the strings, the better the low notes will be.

The easy part is that the notes are inscribed above each string! The hard part is making sure you don't over or under tune each one, as it is really easy to turn it too much with the tiniest movement. When it comes to playing it, if you can play with major keys on a piano, you can pick out any basic tune on this. I had a variation of Somewhere Over the Rainbow in about ten minutes, some of Joy to the World, Twinkle Little Star... you get it. I'm sure more skilled musicians will be able to figure it out even more quickly. Oh! and don't forget that the strings will relax gradually over time.

love the wood, sounds lovely BUT one screw holding a string arrived already stripped, so it wont stay tuned, now have to take it to a music dealer for repair im sure it will be expensive as well so be careful buying instruments online

It is a beautiful instrument. Difficult to tune, but even the tuning time is pleasant because the notes are like crystal bells.

The measurements are wrong on your site. It is a normal size of something like 38cm X 26.5cm. An absolute beauty! Thank you so much. I love it!
