Is assembly required? Seems the neck comes apart. Are returns accepted if the strings are installed? It's a gift.

This guitar is all-in-one, no additional assembly is required, it can be played after receiving the goods, and includes all the necessary accessories, but I don’t understand the situation you encounter, you can contact our customer service support through Amazon. We will give you a satisfactory solution.

Can this be plugged right into an amp to play as an electric guitar?

This is not an acoustic/electric guitar. So, no.

Wont tune. Strings show wrong numbers

I got this for my granddaughter. She had it tuned within a half hour. I on't know anything about the strings though.

Is the sunburst model for $149 the same as the brown and black model? Just a different finish? Or are they different in other ways?

Dear customer,Thanks for your question. The brown guitar back and body and top are made of sapele material. The sunburst guitar back is made of sapele material, the body is made of laminate material, and the top material is made of spruce. Both brown and sunset guitars have a glossy finish. The black guitar backs are made of mahogany material, and the body and top materials are the same as sunburst guitars. The black guitar‘s is different, it is matte.
