The Print Shop 2.0 Professional - Old Version

I was using The Print Shop 22 De Luxe on a Vista computer. I installed Windows 7 and found 22 would not work. Broderbund said they were working on a totally new version (oddly called 2.0). When it became available, I purchased 2.0 DeLuxe through Amazon, and was very disappointed. It worked with Windows 7, but lacked many of the features that 22 DeLuxe had (eg headlines,fixing flaws in photos,and cropping photos in shapes other than rectangles). I returned it to Amazon and bought (at extra cost) Version 2.0 Professional, hoping it would have the missing features. If they are there, I can't find them. The menus appear to be the same as the DeLuxe version. The Help manual is very superficial and appears to be the same whatever version you buy. In desperation I emailed Broderbund for help but they didn't bother replying. To add to my woes the program frquently crashes and needs restarting. I returned this one to Amazon too.Then I saw a small note on Broderbund's website, saying that Print Shop 23 (the last of the versions of the old program before they totally redid it) would work on Windows 7. I bought it (from Amazon) and it works, and is just marvellous!Summary. Avoid all versions of The Print Shop 2.0. Buy The Print Shop 23 instead. This is still available from Broderbund or Amazon.

I used Printshop software years ago and had found it to be easy and fun to work with, so, when I needed a program to create business cards and stationary for my piano studio, I thought it would be perfect. I ordered it and had it shipped overnight (needed business cards ASAP) and it arrived on-time as expected, thanks to Amazon. The trouble started when I tried to install it. It would not install on my main computer (HP, vista, only 1 year old with excellent video and sound cards and plenty of RAM), siting some obscure error code that I could find very little information on. Next I tried to install it on my laptop (ASUS, 6 months old). The first two attempts failed, the third seemed to work at first, but the program was extremely slow and obviously not working correctly. Finally, I attempted to install it on my studio lab computer (another HP, vista). It installed right away, but wouldn't work properly since the lab computer doesn't have internet access. Frustrated, I tried to find a phone number for tech support. After a fruitless search, I navigated the Broderbund website for a while and was able to e-mail tech support. My first reply was an automated "we'll get back with you in 48 hours" e-mail. Four days later I finally heard back. The reply, paraphrased: if you don't like it, send it back. So I am. In the meantime, my husband made the business cards on Photoshop elements, and they look great.

I returned this product. I created two greeting cards, neither of which printed the way they were shown. No, I don't have a problem with my new printer, it works just fine on all other programs. There is no ready made half fold envelope size within the program which requires you to set up a new size which will not print. Then the program just stopped working. Terrible waste of my time. I have used several graphic programs to create greeting cards. The best was the old microsoft works and this is the worst!!!!! The Print Shop 2.0 Professional

I purchased this software as a replacement for Print Shop V22 when I migrated to Win7 32 bit. Win 7 was installed on a formatted HD and was a squeaky clean install. I then installed PS 2.0, it loaded, then downloaded the latest patches and installed them. Opened the software, it immediately stopped functioning and crashed. Opened it again, same problem. Uninstalled, reinstalled, updated - same results. The initial window opens, but as soon as you click on a task or project, it crashes. I also found out that all my old projects will not open in the new version. So basically this software is brown doggie stuff in a pretty box. STAY AWAY FROM IT!

I've been using The Print Shop products for years to make signs, brochures, business cards, etc. My new computer is Windows 7, so had to upgrade to PS 2.0. It doesn't even have a fraction of the graphics or templates that previous versions have. It won't even let me make my own custom brochure; I have to use one of their few templates and can't customize it the way I need to. Total waste of money. They have definitely DOWNGRADED this program.

I read the reviews on this site and almost didn't buy Print Shop 2.0 Professional. But for the money I figured I couldn't go to far wrong. I'm glad I bought it. The software installed without any issues and I find it easy to use. I don't have any projects from the old Print Shop that I would like to bring forward so that isn't an issue for me. The one negative so far is I can't find spell checker on it. It was on the older versions so I can't imagine it wouldn't be on this version.The interface is different from previous versions but seems more powerful and intuitive. I can do things on it that I couldn't do in the old Print Shop. I use a lot of other software so that may make a difference in finding this version easy to use.

I have been a Broderbund consumer for over 10 yrs., and have always been pleased. I purchased 2.0 after seeing it on Amazon and researching it on Print Shop website.I found this program very confusing, is not as user friendy as similiar products from Broderbund, and has very poor clarification and help. I could not get the greeting card I was working on to accept the size that I was setting up. The ruler guideline was also inaccurate vs the printed result. Thankfully the printer was able correct that problem.I was also very suprised that the version was in French! The seller should have been very clear on this point.I am returning this product, and do not reommend it - especially a French version!!
