Yes, it does. The newer, smaller transponder fits perfectly.

It fits the NJ Ezpass. hopefully each state's EZpass is the same.

Will it fit a 3 5/8 x 2 1/4 inch transponder?

If you are talking the size of the new smaller transponder yes it fits but the suction cups on this item are small and cheap. The fail pretty quick.

This fits my ezpass perfectly, but it seems to face backwards from the way it faces when using the original mounting strips. does that matter?

I have two of these. They fit with the sticker facing inside like normal. Take the velcro strips off.
