Is the white part painted or chipped?

Neither. It is not chipped it’s just natural. Looks more white than it is. It’s a beautiful piece.

Just curious if anyone else's stone was amber in color instead of red?

Yes, we have to remember that with movie editing and screen color it looks blood red on the films. If you look closely in the picture you can see this amber color against the white background, color this is the color meant by the Noble Collection. Many people were also complaining about the silver “scuff” but this isn’t from when Harry dropped it, its supposed to be mineral... the stone is made using alchemy, mixing minerals and magic, this paint is going to look different on every stone as all of their products are hand crafted.
