This did exactly what I needed it to do with no drivers. Was a quick plug and play solution to get my old VGA monitor connected to my newer laptop.

I have an old monitor sitting around and need an extra screen for work to look at outlook and excel. This saves me to buy a new monitor and also give the old monitor a second life.

Makes old tech workable.

I bought this to use with my 21" screen while I do some freelance writing from home. Looking at the smaller screen on my laptop gives me eyestrain after a while. I've had a good experience with Amazon branded products so far, and the price was right. But when I got it, it did not work for my laptop. It worked in a smaller, otherwise broken laptop, but not for what I needed. Bummer.I'm super broke, so I almost return it when I ordered the right adapter. But I ended up keeping it anyway. It does work great on my phone and other laptop. I'm sure it might to have around. Just be mindful it might not work for your particular device. Check it out before you purchase, if you can. The connector itself seems sleek and sturdy.

Computer recognizes USB but did not solve matter

This item was not compatible with my MacBook Pro running macOS Tahoe.

One irritating thing about the MacBook Air or MacBook Pro 13" is that they don't have any display outputs. I always need an adapter if I need to do a presentation over a projector or monitor. And sadly, Apple charges a high price for that little adaptor. This inexpensive alternative comes in handy because it is inexpensive and is also very reliable. I have an M1 MacBook Pro 13" and I tested this with an EPSON projector, an HP display, and a Dell monitor, and they all work fine with resolutions up to 1080p which is pretty amazing. Super happy with this purchase. If there is one drawback for this adaptor, is that the plastic casing for the VGA port is not done perfectly well and I could see very little plastic peeling off from there.

The adaptor is a good one. I am using it from months and caused no issues yet. I recommend the product.

Trabaja bastante bien para conectar mi viejo monitor Acer.Una vez establecí la configuración de las pantallas adecuada funcionó a la perfección. De dos cables VGA que tengo, solo uno me dio señal. Ya tenia un monitor conectado en mi puerto HDMI por lo que este me permitió conectar un segundo monitor en el puerto USB C.Hay que revisar que el equipo soporte dos pantallas extendidas.
