Ideal for hot and cold potable water distribution, fire protection, and municipal water service lines, this flexible PEX tubing expands and contracts as water freezes and thaws within the pipe. The innovative push-to-connect design of the SharkBite brass PEX water tubing offers faster installation compared to rigid pipe, six-month UV resistance, and the highest-rated chlorine resistance. These portable PEX tubings are certified to meet ASTM F2023 oxidative-resistance requirements for continuous hot water recirculation and are approved for water service lines and burial applications including being buried under concrete. SharkBite water pipe tube features a minimum working temperature of 33 degrees F at 160 PSI, a maximum working temperature of 200 degrees F at 80 PSI, and a maximum working pressure of 160 PSI at 33 to 70 degrees F. Made in the USA. Review: Exactly what we needed.Way better then box store! - This pex pipe was exactly what we need for our project. We were hooking into our well water supply line and installing frost free hydrants around the property so that we don't have to use 200'+ of hose to water our live stock this winter. This is legit Sharkbite Pex like you would get from the box stores. It was a little difficult to work with at first when you first open the bundle, luckily it was still warm during the day so we opened it and let it lay in the sun. Then we fastened one end to a post and pulled the other end while twisting it. Once it was pulled out it wasn't as difficult to work will. It connected together to our fittings easily and we had zero leaks on the project. We used the clamps on all fittings and no sharkbite fittings. Since it would be buried 3' in the ground and we wouldn't have the need to reuse the fittings. We will also be pulling this pex pipe through a 2" HDPE pipe thats already in the ground, our contractor plowed in electrical conduit instead of water certified pipe for our main water line to our build site. I will try to update my review after we get that project completed. Overall I'm very happy with the product and you can't beat the price! Review: Easy! - A little pricey to start, but less so than copper. Easy to run and connect. I'm sold on PEX! Definitely recommended! ## Features - SHARKBITE BLUE PEX-B PIPE: This SharkBite blue PEX-B pipe is available in coils up to 1,000 feet in length, allowing longer runs and fewer connections to save time, money, and potential leak points - FREEZE RESISTANT: This flexible PEX tubing expands and contracts as water freezes and thaws within the pipe; ideal for hot and cold potable water distribution, fire protection, and municipal water service lines - EASY TO INSTALL: The innovative push-to-connect design of the SharkBite brass PEX water tubing offers faster installation compared to rigid pipe, six-month UV resistance, and the highest-rated chlorine resistance - PREFERRED BY THE PRO: This portable PEX pipe is certified to meet ASTM F2023 oxidative-resistance requirements for continuous hot water recirculation; approved for water service lines and burial applications including being buried under concrete - SPECS: SharkBite water pipe tubing features a minimum working temperature of 33 degrees F at 160 PSI, a maximum working temperature of 200 degrees F at 80 PSI, and a maximum working pressure of 160 PSI at 33 to 70 degrees F ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B004Y74NBC | | Best Sellers Rank | #116,125 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #409 in Plumbing Tubing & Hoses #1,069 in Industrial Pipe Fittings | | Brand | SharkBite | | Brand Name | SharkBite | | Color | Blue | | Colour | Blue | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 482 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00697285243002 | | Included Components | Water Alarm | | Item Dimensions L x W | 91.44L x 0.01W Meters | | Item Length | 300 Feet | | Item Type Name | PEX Pipe Tubing 1/2 Inch, Flexible Water Tube, Pot | | Item Weight | 0.01 Pounds | | Item weight | 0.01 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Cash Acme | | Material | Stainless Steel | | Material Type | Stainless Steel | | Maximum Pressure | 160 Pound per Square Inch | | Maximum pressure | 160 Pound per Square Inch | | Nominal Wall Thickness | 1.3 month | | Outside Diameter | 0.5 Inches | | Product dimensions | 91.44L x 0.01W Meters | | UPC | 697285243002 | | Unit Count | 300 Meters | ## Product Details - **Brand:** SharkBite - **Colour:** Blue - **Item weight:** 0.01 Pounds - **Material:** Stainless Steel - **Product dimensions:** 91.44L x 0.01W Meters ## Images ![SharkBite 1/2 Inch x 300 Feet Blue PEX-B, PEX Pipe Flexible Water Tubing for Plumbing, U806B300 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61LPjxNcCjL.jpg) ![SharkBite 1/2 Inch x 300 Feet Blue PEX-B, PEX Pipe Flexible Water Tubing for Plumbing, U806B300 - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81FbBaixFCL.jpg) ![SharkBite 1/2 Inch x 300 Feet Blue PEX-B, PEX Pipe Flexible Water Tubing for Plumbing, U806B300 - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/819gKXG6BWL.jpg) ![SharkBite 1/2 Inch x 300 Feet Blue PEX-B, PEX Pipe Flexible Water Tubing for Plumbing, U806B300 - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71MBoItVN6L.jpg) ![SharkBite 1/2 Inch x 300 Feet Blue PEX-B, PEX Pipe Flexible Water Tubing for Plumbing, U806B300 - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81Z4zjgqNuL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Pattern, Color, Size, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: will this brand of pex burst if water is left in the line and freezes** A: NO it will not. The fittings will crack if they freek. I work on mobile homes and we ONLY use Pex or Sharkbite Pex tube. I have seen the entire 100 feet freeze and it just swels up a tiny bit. Any fitting that freezes though will crack and burst or leak. Do all home run lines and put a heat tape on it if your woried it may get exposure to winter freezing temps. I have done over 60 homes with this and always get this question. **Q: Is this PEX-a** A: This is not PEX-A (more often referred to as AquaPEX). This is PEX-B, the most common variation of the three types available. AquaPEX has some benefits, such as less coil memory so that it is easier to work with as well as more resistance to bursting if water freezes in the tubing. It is not better quality, it is just manufactured differently and the letter signifies what method of installation can be used. You only need to use AquaPEX if you are using the expansion method which requires the PEX to expand to accept the fittings. It then resumes its shape around the fitting with the help of special expansion sleeves. With PEX-B, the crimp method is used. You could use AquaPEX with the crimp method, but you could not use PEX-B with the expansion method since it is not designed to expand to the tolerances necessary. AquaPEX is also 40% more expensive and not readily available everywhere. You generally need to buy this type at a plumbing supply house. **Q: Does this tubbing works with pex expansion tool?** A: NO that tool can only be used on pex - A **Q: What is the i.d. of this tube?** A: The diagram clearly shows that this tubing is 1/2 in. O.D. and is mated to the Sharkbite 1/2 inch ball valve. Why do you state that it's 1/2 in. I.D.? ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exactly what we needed.Way better then box store! *by J***Y on 4 November 2022* This pex pipe was exactly what we need for our project.
