VAYDEER Programmable Macro Keyboard, 9 Keys, USB

I'm not one to leave a review normally, but I feel compelled to do so on this occasion. I'm fairly paralysed everywhere and have very little arm movement at all. I tend to use virtual keyboard for most that I have to do or Tobii Dynavox for retinal manipulation. I tried so much from 39 key half gaming keyboard to other smaller configuration input devices. I had thought about something like this but found nothing out there until I saw this listed as an alternative to another product. I'm blown away with the construction and build quality, its versatility is robust and programming, simple and efficient. I know when other disabled people see me using it they'll beg me where to buy it, which I will gladly tell them. I totally and unreservedly recommend this product.

I'm extremely impressed with this VAYDEER One Handed Macro Keyboard. As someone who juggles gaming and creative work, the ability to program 9 keys for specific macros and shortcuts is a total game-changer. The mechanical keys feel fantastic to use—responsive and satisfyingly clicky. Setting up the custom functions was surprisingly easy, and the device is recognized instantly by both my Windows PC and my Mac. It's built solid and has a sleek, compact design that doesn't clutter my desk. This little keypad has seriously streamlined my workflow and given me a competitive edge in games. Highly recommend!

I love this product and ended up buying a second one. I use them both constantly. Missing out on 1 star for 3 reasons: it’s very inconvenient trying to switch between the two for programming the keys or seeing the HUD, requiring unplugging the device depending on which you want to work on. The paste string function causes the device to crash on my system. Switching between layers must be assigned to buttons on the device itself whereas I would like to be able to do this with a keyboard shortcut or on my programmable mouse. As a result, 1 - 2 of the 9 available keys are used up just for this on each layer. Overall though, great job that can do with a bit of refinement.

I have a tenkeyless keyboard (No numberpad). Not having a number pad doesn't really bother me much. However, I do a lot of amateur game development and 3D Modelling, software like that uses shortcut keys from the numberpad or makes a lot of use of it. I got this to act as an alternative solution, its clearly handy for streaming as well. you can have 5 profiles, I have one for each type of software, with shortcut macros to make my life a lot easier.The software, is mostly okay, there are a couple of small bugbears with it.1 being it always shows the overlay on start up and you have to manually turn it off every time.2 there doesn't seem to be an option to reposition the overlay3 if the overlay is hidden, if you have set up macros to change the profile there is no mini overlay that pops up to tell you what overlay you are using. (Since the devices doesn't have any form of LED indicator to assign to each profile without the overlay up or just expanding it at the bottom you may not realize what profile you are on.Other than the software issues which aren't really a big deal, its fantastic and had made my work flow a lot easier. Highly recommended if you need a few extra keys to create custom input macros.

Nice build quality, came with a paper instruction manual as well as a download, and the software is very easy to use and seems robust too. Exactly what I wanted.

Worked fine for a few days. Had setup how I wantedThen my pc started playing up.. repeating keystrokes making random beeps and becoming unresponsive.. after a couple of weeks of these issues I disconnected this keypad and all the issues went away.. few days later tried the keypad again and all came back..It’s as though one of the buttons intermittently thinks it’s being held down.. so for me a total waster of time and money

My initial impressions when I opened the box was very good.Keys felt positive and responsive, the build quality was solid.Unfortunately, on my Win 10 PC the software would not recognise the keypad no matter what I tried although it worked first time on my Win 10 laptop. I tried for an hour or so then reluctantly gave up & requested a return.The next day I gave it another try as I was so impressed with the quality I didn't want to send it back. I tried running the software by right-clicking it and running it as Administrator... it worked!Once I was up and running, the programming was super simple as the software is pretty easy to understand.Would be great if I could get 'enter' at the end of a text string instead of it just typing the text, unless I haven't found out how.All in all a great product which I am very happy with. If I needed another I would 100% buy another.

Works great, on board memory in the sense of macros, but thats easily programmed via python, etc. Doesnt work straight out of the box for linux, there is a simple bash script you need to run to register the keypad, after that you are golden. If you want to use this for blurbs, then I'd suggest to use it in combination with espanso.On windoze/osx you have the full support of the accompanied software.NOTE: only the macros are stored on-board, the rest needs to be supported by the software.
