These arrived and are exactly as described. Not too heavy, but they feel like they could take a hit from a chainsaw without a problem; I hope to never find out. The leg sections have adjustable straps to keep the chaps in front of the leg and may also keep the chaps from moving if a chainsaw hits it which is what you are going to want. The wait is easily adjustable and you can tighten it with one hand once they are on and where you want them to sit on your waist and you can adjust the length also if you need to. I'm 6'2 and didn't need to adjust the length. If you are looking for protection, I recommend getting these and hoping you never need to find out that they work.

Good fit flexible comes with a storage bag hopefully never have to find out how good they are with a chain easy to put on and take off better to be safe than sorry

The fit could be a little tighter around my lower legs. Fitment around my waist and thighs is good, just feels a bit too loose around my shins. Overall, comfortable enough to wear all day. Good coverage and easy enough to slip on and off. Gives me piece of mind knowing I have some basic protection. I like the little external pocket - perfect for my phone.

Excellent for chain saw work Saves your legs

I decided to replace my old chaps, which have the scars of a few moments of idiocy where they saved my legs (life?). They were so beaten up that it was time to upgrade. I did so with these. While they are a lot heavier than my previous pair, I convince myself that heavy is good (when lugging cut wood up steep hills back to the truck etc.). I am more practiced now, so I tend not to chainsaw my thighs and shins as much as I used to, so I have not put them to the ultimate test. But, I use them with confidence. My only issue is that when I have bulky gloves on (winter cutting)... the clips are somewhat stiff and unforgiving, and often, I end up taking off my gloves to clip and unclip. That aside, they also feel a bit short (I am relatively short-legged) and they come to my boots but not lower. If I were a normal-sized adult, these would feel short. Order size up if you have the option and like them longer. Hope that helps.

I bought these for chainsaw work but have started using them for anything where I think I’m going to get banged up or scratched They take a minute or two to get into and the legs are a bit long on me, but otherwise they are exactly what I wanted They are on the heavy side and somewhat stiff, but I believe they will provide a good deal of protection I would buy them again

These are well made but the length of theses pants is stupid to the point of being dangerous regarding tripping and falls. I’m 5’9” and the length is at least 6” to long. Also very heavy and hot.

While I cannot speak to loving this item myself, I can say that this was very well received by the person who opened them! The item was received in perfect condition, as identified by the seller!

If you're on the fence between chaps and pants, note that chaps are easier to fit different body sizes and they are also easier to put on then full pants. The chaps are not too heavy buy fairly weighty which you would expect with 8 layers of protection. My only complaint, and this is not restricted to this manufacturer, is the tendency to use plastic fastening clips. I think a $50 upgrade to include metals fasteners would be a selling feature as I know that within a few years these clips will start to break and I'll have to invest money in real metal clips.

I like the coverage of these pants , they are quite heavy but fit well and I am 5”3’. 120 lbs. like the style easy to do up .
