how thick is the vinyl?

It's about the same thickness as a heavy duty tarp

Looks like it is 13 inches deep, with all 3 rings inflated. Not sure why the seller answered 2 ft (as that is 24 inches).

Weight and safety on a deck? I know it holds 76 gallons, which is like 600+ pounds. Would a sturdy deck handle that + people in it? We bought two.

Yes our deck held up just fine.

Neither the box, nor the pool itself, mention anything about being BPA free. That is usually important for beverage and food containers, cups, plates, bowls, straws and utensils. I have never seen a pool or toy mention BPA content. You should be fine as long as you don’t drink a ton of water from the pool.
