The Body Shop Satsuma Soap, 3.5 Ounce

Although I now purchase this as a shower gel, I’ve been using this soap for over 25 years and it’s still excellent. It is a little pricy but if you know Body Shop products, you know they are great quality. The scent is very pleasant, not cloying at all, and it feels great on the skin, leaving no residue. If you still use bar soap, then I recommend this one with no reservations. They’ve been selling this stuff in massive quantities for so long, you know they’ve got it right.

This soap has been my favorite for years. My mother-in-law loved it because of its glycerin content, which did not dry out her skin. The Satsuma scent is realistic and you can almost taste the tart/sweetness, although the scent can be overpowering if you are susceptible to migraines. My daughter likes to treat herself to a bar of this when the holidays roll around. Given that this is a Body Shop product, the price here is a significant savings over the retail price of what you would find in brick & mortar shops, as well as online. Only once in a while will The Body Shop online have a sale which beats this price. But for year round savings, you cannot beat this.

I used The Body Shop Satsuma Soap, The Body Shop Shea Soap, 3.5 Ounce and The Body Shop Coconut Soap, 3.5 Ounce , and loved them all! I live in an area that has *extremely* hard water, so we have a commercial water softener that helps immensely, but can sometimes leave me feeling as though I have residual soap on my skin after rinsing. The Body Shop soaps do not feel that way, at all! They have a wonderful lather, scent and rinse completely, leaving my skin feeling soft and silky. Also, as long as they are kept out of the shower stream when not in use, they last for quite a while! I highly recommend this soap to others!

Overall, this soap is quite nice. I bought it for the fragrance, which is beautiful -- until you use it. It smells great, but then the scent disappears before the shower is even over. I was a bit disappointed in that I like my soaps to also act as aromatherapy for me. However, the soap itself is great - cleans well, lathers beautifully, and I don't feel dry afterwards.

I don't know where to begin with this. I already have the body lotion and thought I would try this because that lotion is so addicting. Well, this soap makes it extremely hard to get out of the shower or tub because of the fragrance and lather. If you adore the sweet smell of orange this is the soap for you. It does not dry out the skin like regular soap because it is glycerin, and it has a rich lather. It does however not last as long as all those other brands, but who cares, when it is so wonderful. I'll be ordering this again and again.

I thought it would be larger. I love the way it smells and cleans my skin, but the size was a bit too small for soap.

Of all the soaps and shower gels I've used, Satsuma is the best by far. The scent is so refreshing.

I absolutely love this scent, I also have the perfume. Very nice, long lasting glycerin soap as well.
