But it was user error. I knew I had all 4 pins lined up, and I had pressed firmly in two different lamp heads. But when I placed the working bulb from lamp #2 into lamp #1, no light; figured it was the lamp. Tried to return existing working bulb into lamp #2, no light. Shook head, thought a minute then really shoved. LIGHT CAME ON. Tried it with new bulb, LIGHT CAME ON. So the bulb itself is great, but it required more ummph to install then I anticipated.
