Are the individual colors named ? Referring to the semantic labels for the colors - I find that confusing when shopping

No, you just compare the samples -- too many folks call the same color by different names.

Can these colors be matched to pantone colors codes?

I’m sure they could but it would be an enormous time commitment

You could go to JoAnnes and get free swatches same colors as your fan. Take it apart. Glue them on. Than use a couple of large rings and restring??

I guess you could, but it would be difficult finding every shade/tone of each color in fabric. The swatch fan is a compact collection of colors that can be conveniently carried, and open and closed easily while shopping.

Are these cardboard, plastic or fabric on cardboard?

None of the above? The cover and rear pieces are definitely plastic. I guess (guess) the color pieces are very thin cardboard. While none of them are fabric-covered, the surface texture varies: some feel like shiny plastic, some feel like paint chips, and some have almost a woven texture. Wait! I lie. I have the Summer and 9 of these are actually fabric-covered. Let me just say that I THOUGHT I knew my colors well from the book, but I was wrong and this is helpful.

So helpful! I wish the off white was “soft white”, so it’s gray based white not yellow. It’s an okay color on me but it’s not soft white it’s off white. But otherwise this tool is SO cool! I spent years thinking I was a winter! Comes with little bag.

A brilliant tool to save time and money when shopping. This swatch contains all of the colours that suit me and helps to stop me from making unsuitable purchases. I have only had this for a couple of days but it is to replace a larger one that took up too much space in my handbag. I have yet to see weather the colours do come off as mentioned in other reviews.

Very effective tool when intentionally shopping for colors that match your seasonal palette! I’m a Personal stylist and am actually looking into if I can buy these in all 4 seasons on wholesale to give to my clients! They even come with a little carrying case so they don’t get scuffed up in your purse! The fan fold up nice n small and compact for easy transport while shopping, or just reviewing your colors against your skin. I’d recommend!
