Exactly what I wanted at a reasonable price
Good veneer for my first try at making a chess board. Easy to cut and glue even for a novice like me.

My First Veneer went perfectly with this.
First ever attempt to use veneering went very well. Material was uniform thickness. Was able to survive tiny cuts and stay intact. I used this 1mm Walnut inset into 6mm oak veneer to inset a logo. It'z a test puece for a box I'm making. Engraved out the inset on my laser, taped the veneer in to of my workpiece, cut out the design to give a clean edge then just glued in the pieces in, infilled with a bit of glue & oak dust and sanded. Remember you can't get natural wood this thin totally flat so tape it down to a flat surface. If using a laser on tiny parts, turn your air assist off or it will blow away the bits.

Don’t buy if you want it flat
We were looking forward to using this on a particular project. It arrived and instantly we noticed bubbles in the veneer. You cannot get them out. No amount of pressure in a vice will flatten them. Your final project looks like it has blown or defective. This really needs to be mentioned in the listing. Sending back for a refund our search continues for a completely flat veneer

Good product
Excellent product, feels, smells and looks like real wood - it is brittle and should be used carefully - I cut via a diode laser and get great results - cutting with a knife isn't so easy as it can splinter.

This timber has certainly become one of the most expensive here in the South Pacific, so the logical step is to buy the veneer and glue it to some sturdy plywood,after it has been artistically matched and inlayed. Walnut veneer is a pleasure to work with, as is the company who provided it.I would be happy to buy more at some stage.Rapid delivery.
