What's the difference between the me2 vs. mke2? is it worth the $200 extra for the mke2?

The MKE 2 is an omnidirectional sub miniature lavalier microphone with a frequency response of 20 - 20000 Hz +- 3 dB, and a diameter of 4.8 mm without a cap, 5.8 mm with a frequency cap in place. it only come with one for the receiver and one for the transmitter

Does this include the XLR cable to plug the receiver into a headphone jack?

Yes it does, as well as a cold shoe mount to hold it in place if your camera has a built-n shoe adapter.

how long does the battery last?

I can get 12-14 hours I think on transmitter. Only 3ish hours on the receiver. I have an extra battery and alsocsn plug it in if I'm running for several hours.
