It works very well, its giving me more possibilities for peripherals.

I experiment a lot with different USB devices like microcontrollers. This unit does me well as I can just plug this in to a front USB port on my pc then set it on my desk. Then just plug in my geek stuff. All this without bending over and going to the back of pc

I got this IVETTO 3.0 USB hub to replace a different brand hub that had just started to give me problems. I have the IVETTO USB hub connected to one of my laptops 3.0 USB ports and then have several devices connected to the IVETTO hub, including external hard drives and a wireless mouse. I use the remaining USB ports to plug in thumb drives or whatever else I want to plug into it. I am also using one of the ports to charge a USB hand held intercom, so instead of using the supplied data cable that came with the IVETTO, I just used a data/charging cable I had laying around instead and it works perfectly. Not all my external hard drives are 3.0 USB but this hub is backward compatible to 2.0 USB so no issues there. Finally, I like the LED lights that let you know if the port is active and the ability to activate/deactivate the port with the flick of a switch. Great product at a great price!

Out of the 8 USB slots, there's one that doesn't seem to work but it wasn't enough to return it. Every now and then I have to unplug my keyboard as it seems to glitch or stops working, but re-plugging it solves the problem. This happens maybe once a month. I have a couple of flash drives and sometimes if I hit the desk (like when I'm laughing at something or bump it hard) it'll open the dialogue box for a thumb drive, but that too isn't annoying enough to not use it. I've bought many styles of these and this one had enough room for all my needs and works better than the rest, without breaking the bank.

My USB speaker would not work with this. Worked for USB flash drives.

Item arrived damaged, opened and restuck with tape. Also missing DC5 Power Outlet. Now we have to spend time returning it.

I have been looking for something like this for a long time and it seems to do just what I want it for. The individual ports are very helpful in isolating what you do not need. Works well on my mac and very easy to set up and use. Not a bad price at all

Received the product and very happy with the experience. Shipping was quick, the product is solid, works as advertised. I particularly like the number of ports on this as it frees up my laptop for other attachments. Will buy again if i need it for my other computers.

Realizing that more and more peripherals require a USB connection, and that always reaching behind my PC to plug and unplug things was getting to be a pain, I finally decided to get a hub. I looked at a variety of models, but most of those I looked at had very short cables to connect them to my computer, which made them as much of a pain to use as reaching behind my system. Then I came across this unit, which has a perfect length cable, not too short to be able to place the hub where I need it, and not too long to have a cable always getting in my way. Unlike a few other reviewers, I have not found the USB ports to be loose at all. Every cable or USB flash drive I have connected to any of the ports has fit snugly with no extra play. I have it connected to a USB 3.0 port, and it gives very acceptable speeds when transferring files. But the feature I really appreciate is the individual switches for each port. Instead of push button switches, which tend to fail, these are solid rocker switches with a nice LED to indicate which ports are active. The hub also transfers more than enough power to drive my two LED strips that are connected to it, and the switches allow me to turn them on or off when I want. It also has no problem with my webcam. So far, it has functioned perfectly and I really could not ask for more from a USB hub. Recommended.
