Magnetic Adapter Compatible with MagSafe Case and iPhone 16 15 14 13 12 Pro Max Mini, Attached to Old Magnetic Car Phone Mount Holder No Metal Plate Needed

So glad I found this. My wife refuses to get a new case with magsafe so she wants to keep her magnetic car mounts. I starting wondering if we were going to have to get a divorce, just too many differences. But, then this little device saved our marriage. I keep this in her car and everyone is happy! I think now we may make it another 25 years thanks to Quarble!

Product works as advertised. It holds nicely to MagSafe phones/cases and traditional mag mounts on the other side. However, as other reviewer have noted, the adhesive for the metal disk that sticks to traditional mag mounts failed after about a week, leaving a hole on the back side. Fix is easy: I wanted a permanent attachment to original mag mounts. Go to auto parts store and get some 1” 3m VHD adhesive foam tape. Toss the metal disk in the trash. Rough up the inside surface where the metal disk went and the surface of the mag mount as well. Clean well and dry. Cut and place the VHD tape to fit in the hole where the disk went. Peel off the backing and attach old mag mount. Squeeze and wait 12-24 hours for full attachment. Done.

The ferrous plate is attached to the plastic mag-safe ring with comically weak double sided tape. After that falls off in the first few minutes, put some epoxy on it and clamp it together. The mag-safe ring is doing fine and has enough grab. I have this connected to a Scosche dash mounted magnet. It's held up to some vigorous driving. Would have been a 5 if not for the bad sticky tape.

This is a great idea but unfortunately it is poorly executed and the quality is not there. The device at attached firmly to my MagSafe case and then clicked right onto our existing magnetic phone holder. This was great because we have a mix of phones and need to switch between the standard magnet mount and the Apple MagSafe. It would have been perfect if they had added center magnets so that you didn’t have to remove the MagSafe adapter for a standard phone. As it is though, it isn’t a big deal to pop off the adapter. But here’s the deal breaker - the metal plate on the back is attached with weak sticky tape and it failed after less than a month of use. Now the metal plate sticks to the old car mount but the rest of the adapter (and your phone!) fall off the plate and hit the floor while you are driving. Because of this I have to give it a poor rating as it doesn’t accomplish its most basic requirement.

At first, this product was exactly what I wanted. I want to connect a MagSafe phone/AirPods to an older simple magnet-style mount. Another Quarble MagSafe product I bought was great so I had high hopes. This worked great at first but within a few days of use the metal plate on the back just ripped off. It's clear this is just another Quarble product with a cheap thin metal plate inadequately stuck on with weak mounting tape. It quickly ripped off. This is partly because it's cheap mounting tape (not 3M VHB), but also because the surface it's adhering to isn't flush so it can't adhere against the whole surface area. Also, the metal plate is very thin, making for a weak hold on other magnets. The MagSafe end is quite strong in comparison. I _would love_ this product if it had a well-attached thick metal plate. Just stick a thick washer onto it with 3M VHB. Ideally, the plate would be attached with a bolt, but a much stronger adhesive would probably work fine. The MagSafe side is perfect and very strong so it's such a waste that the metal plate rips off so easily. I can't find anything else out there that does what I want. This would be a great niche product if it actually worked! I'd happily pay double for a high-quality version. So here's hoping Quarble takes this feedback to heart and comes out with a better version. Thanks for reading.

Works great to convert a regular magnetic cell phone holder in the car to a compatible magsafe! It also works great to attach my phone to the rigs at the gym while I work out and other magnetic objects to hold my phone!

The adhesive on the magnetic side attaching to the car mount is NOT good. Within the first day the circular magnetic piece came unstuck from the base and stuck to my old scosche magic mount. I tried super gluing and the base did work much better for about a month but now the rubber piece is ripped and the adhesive is peeling away from the black base. It’s a shame because the one I use on my pop socket works great and has never peeled away and the magnet was VERY strong holding the phone itself. I’d be willing to give the company another shot if they fix the adhesive on this product but for now I cannot recommend it.

Brilliant! Works great and exactly as needed. I also have the Belkin mount that apple sell, this one is heaps better, smaller and cheaper. Perfect to mod my old car mount for the new iPhone.

It's great. The only issue i had was the back plate not sticking to magnets very well, but i just glued a metal phone plate on the back and now its 10/10. Obviously the item is a bit overpriced due to it being an american brand, but for my niche needs it's perfect and i haven't found any other brand making them. Now i can use magsafe no matter whose car i'm in. 5*
