If you need to tow get at least a Class 3
Just installed the Curt Hitch Receiver Class 3 to my 2019 Ford Transit. It was very straightforward and can be mounted by a single person. It is about 30lbs. I used the vans exhaust as a rest to lift up one side and loosely attach to the bolt. One thing about my van is that the exhaust is in the way of the nut. So to be able to tighten and torque it to the required 110lbs. I had to find a shorter 19 socket and had to push the exhaust down a bit. I did not want to take out the rubber damper. Fit was fantastic. One thing to make this a super easy install is to grab an M12 1.75 tap, with the handle if you don't have one laying around. FOLLOW the instructions and you can do the install in under an hour. WD40 is a must. Super happy I went with the Curt though. Great build and looks very solid.

Nice Transit van hitch
As advertised, fits 2015 ford transit van . Don’t love the self tapping bolt idea, but works. Very quick delivery. Thanks

Perfect fit! No problems
I recently installed the hitch on my 2016 Transit cargo 250. I had read several "horror" reviews about owners having troubles with the self-tapping bolts. So, at the time of purchasing the hitch, I also bought me a tap, which is widely documented as an M12-1.75 tap. Please remember that you are cutting through the metal frame of the vehicle, so just using the bolts with a wrench or socket may not or will not be sufficient. Even the manufacturer's installation instructions read: "Note: using a tap may ease installation." So, by using the tap, a ratchet, and dry lube spray, I cut the threads for the 4 mounting bolts in less than 15 minutes. I then placed the 2 carriage bolts with spacers in the frame rail holes (I didn't even need the supplied fishwire as the holes are within reach). Then, I set the hitch on the floor over the cardboard box it came in, and placed it directly below to where it was to be bolted on. I raised one side of the hitch up and allowed the carriage bolt to go through the hitch hole and threaded the supplied nut a few turns. On the same side, I threaded the two self-tapping bolts. I then raised the other side of the hitch up and did the same. I finally torqued all the bolts to specifications. The exhaust pipe stands a little bit on the way to tighten one of the carriage bolt nuts, but I just pushed the pipe out of the way so I could use a ratchet extension. Although I didn't time myself, the complete installation, including tapping, was about an hour or so. I am very happy with the ease of installation, the finish quality and built of the hitch, and all the supplied hardware. I highly recommend this product! But again, save yourself some frustration and purchase a tap.

350 HD double roues
